Xbox freezing when the keyboard comes up.

Hey, many times when I need to type something, when the Xbox keyboard appears, my Xbox will freeze and be stuck on the keyboard. I can use Smartglass to get out of the keyboard but after that i cannot use the Xbox button at all
until I hard reset my Xbox. its been happening for quite a while but lately it seems like a 50% chance of my Xbox freezing every time the keyboard comes up. is there anything I can do about this? thanks

When I open the keyboard to send a message, search, what ever from anywhere von the home screen, in game, in app, my controller stops working I think. I can still hear people in party but I can't do anything, also on all three of my controllers it does this
and the home bottom doesn't do anything. Please help!

Hey there! I would first try a full reboot. If you have the New Xbox One Experience, open the guide, go down to Settings, then Restart console. If you're on the original experience, go to Settings, Power, Restart Xbox.

If that doesn't help, go to Turn off console instead, and unplug the power from the back of the console for 5 minutes

This is a known bug when the NXOE update was released and yet has not been patched. I've experienced symptoms from this bug as like you mentioned but later on it passed and did not crash. I'd wait for a later OS firmware upgrade to be released.

You can troubleshoot the keyboard freezing here. This reddit post will try to give you basic troubleshooting for the console but you'll need
to restart it if it does freeze like this.
