Xbox freezing/crashing after 10 mins

My xbox is approx 4-5 months old. All of a sudden it has started crashing after a short period of playing (usually Fifa17). It was fine until the last week or so and I have recently tried to download Fortnite....could this have effected it?? If so what
can I do. When it freezes I can't turn off unless I hold the power for 5-10 secs, but then it just won't work properly at all after unless I leave it off over night. It's frustrating as its so sporadic. Thanks

Titanfall caused Xbox One to crash

Mine is freezing and crashing too. Iget it Messiah...hard reboot & reinstall. I shouldnt have to do this on a console.

 

bf3 game won't load

Same thing happen to me I just left the game in the freezing bit after 10 mins game loaded

I would recommend trying a soft factory reset by going into your Settings menu selecting the "System" option then "Console Info" then "Restore to factory defaults" make sure you hit the option that says "Keep My Games and Apps" to avoid having to wait for
installation times.

Those posts above are great, but here is another tip!

When games update there are chances the update can be corrupted so it's possible to troubleshoot the issue or to just uninstall the game and re-install. Before uninstalling the game try the support steps listed above, then try this

Hi, No it did not work. I carried out the soft factory reset and loaded up again and played fifa for 5 mins and it did exactly the same again. So frustrating. Always about half way through a match !! Screen freezes and only the home button on the controller
works.

Hi, thanks for the advise. I tried this and reset everything, started like a new console and the same thing happened unfortunately. Half way through the first game I attempted on fifa17 so about 5 mins in. Just frozen screen and unresponsive apart from
the home button on the controller.

Just to have some clarification.

Is this the only game having issues and is it a disc or digital game?

Try a full console reset and see if that works!

Or try to contact the developer and report the issue. EA- Report A Bug
