Discus and support xbox freezing and shutting off (on old and new console) in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I have had an xbox one x for 2 years.     I have had an xbox one x for 2 years. Yesterday it randomly shut off in the middle of play. Witcher 3 froze, buzzed, and then the console shut off. When I tried to turn it back on, it came on for a few minutes and then shut off again. After this happened
    4 or 5 times, I began reading the other postings on it. I finally assumed it must be something technical and I would send it in for repair. Since it was two years old, I bought a new one today so I could play, and would give the other one to a family member.
    I set up the new xbox and after 30 minutes of play it did the same things again - game froze, buzzed loudly, and shut off; then did the same shut off right after I turned it on. I have been playing Witcher 3 and can only say it does it with this game because
    I can't get it to stay on long enough to try another game.

    Witcher 3 - freezes, buzzes, shuts off -> turn it back on and it shuts right off again

    Does this with older and brand new xbox one x

    Please help!

    Henlo!! Im from Xbox Ambassadors.

    I had the same issue with alot of my games. From my experience, the problem was usually solved by blowing the dust from the fan inside my xbox, or if you're using disc, laying the xbox on its bottom instead of the side. Sometimes when laying the xbox on
    its side, the disc will fall out of place, causing the crashes.

    At this point I’m unable to get passed connecting to the internet. I can get to the restore icons, hit the restore, and attempt to connect, but before it connects, it shuts off. What in the world has happened here? And this is on both boxes. What has been
    messed up here?

    Sounds like witcher 3 might be the problem

    How much room do you have around the xbox

    I’ve managed to restore the new console and will attempt the older one tomorrow. I’ll just leave Witcher 3 uninstalled until I can find a solution.
