    Xbox Freezes Despite Good Connection


    I have had my Xbox One for about 18 months now and have loved my experience with no issues at all until quite recently (about the past 3-4 weeks). My problem has to do with lag/freezing, but more specifically, I experience this
    despite perfect network connection (ping between 25-50ms). When this occurs, my game completely freezes up, occuring in random intervals of about 3-10 minutes, and will last about 3-6 seconds before resuming - if I am not disconnected that is. Strangely enough,
    I have noticed that when I'm in game with somebody, my player still reflectes what I do on the controller during this period of freezing. I have tried lowing the video output quality on my Xbox, have tried using different monitors and networks, and the problem
    persists. I have also used different Xbox Ones on the same network, monitor, account, and game with no issues at all. This problem has made gaming very difficult and help would be much appreciated!

    Hey Tstorm thanks for taking the time to bring this issue to us!

    We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused but rest assured we are here to help, the first thing we suggest is a reset of the console since this, even though a bit more involved would be the most thorough sweep of the console and has the added benefit
    of pushing any updates through. To do a a Soft
    Factory Reset     (while keeping games and apps) IF AND ONLY IF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA IS MET:

    • There is a stable network connection.
    • The information for all profiles is known (email and passwords)
    Once the setup is complete it will ask if we want to keep settings or manual setup lets do manual setup. Give it a shot and let us know of any changes!

    I don't know if this helps but I've only noticed it with Smite and Black Ops 3, both games are downloaded copies and not physical copies.

    Things you have tried: Tried power cycling the xbox and router, tried port forwarding, tried putting my xbox in the routers DMZ, contacted my ISP and had them come have a look at my connection (they ended up replacing my modem but even after the replacement
    things still run poorly)
