    Xbox Freezes and then turns off


    While playing bf1 and most other games on my Xbox online I’ll get about 5 minutes in (depends on the game and how many times I’ve played it that day) or less the game will freeze on whatever screen I’m on and won’t move at all. During this about 30 second
    period of being frozen I can’t do anything if I press the home button it plays the little swoosh sound but won’t ever show anything popping up on the screen. After roughly 20 to 30 seconds of being frozen the Xbox promptly turns off on its own, it plays the
    little powering off sound and the screen goes black. The weirdest part is that even though the Xbox is turned off the white light on the controller is still lighting up. I can’t turn the console on by using the controller I’ve got to turn it on manually. I’ve
    contacted Xbox a few times and managed to fix it twice only for it to go straight back to the freezing the next day. I can’t go 5 minutes into a game without it freezing and the Xbox turning off and it’s really annoying. If anyone has any ideas about what
    is going on the Xbox or any solutions to it I would be very grateful.

    What system software bugs have you experienced so far?

    My Xbox simply wont turn off. I hold Home button on controller, select Console Off and it freezes, then. I have to reboot and then it turns off fine.

    SLIM freezing

    I bought a newer slim 250 GB xbox 360, it played perfect for a day, next day turn it on and it'd play for a few minutes then freeze, then I'd turn it off, then back on and it'd freeze right away, and it'd keep going like this for awhile, but then it'll play
    perfectly, until i turn it off for a few hours, then the process starts all over again. what the heck is its problem

    I started having the same issue, It began after the Destiny 2 update. I did a full reset (kept the games) and it worked for a day or two. I installed COD WWII last night, and couldn't even get through the intro, black screen, then power down, then after
    a while it powers up again. I am assuming a powers supply issue, but I have had no issues up to now with it.

    I have this happen occasionally on the series X as well after playing some time like 3+ hours the system might crash and freeze then turn off. This happens the most for me at least on sea of thieves.

    I did play battlefront 2 for about 6-8 hours yesterday and now it’s happening after playing for only 1-2 hours. But it never happened to me when I played any of the forzas all day for days in a row, even fortnite when I used to play that.

    GOW3 RESET RUBISH

    Never turn the XBOX off with gears 3. Always eject the disk if it freezes. If the disk won't eject then power off.
