I have xbox live gold and have bought games for free from the xbox store but its saying i can't buy for honor for free. It says get gold then when i look at the xbox gold member ship it says that i can buy 3 months for the $25

There are no free XPA games with gold,so I want free XPA games with my xbox live gold.

Does your account
currently have an active Gold subscription, or are you Gold-sharing with someone else that has made your console their Home Xbox? If it's the latter, then I don't think you'll be able to get the GWG titles that way.

Also verify if you've already acquired For Honor as part of GWG, because if you have, the store will then give you the option to buy it permanently.

If you indeed have an active Gold subscription, and you have not acquired For Honor as GWG, then try these troubleshooting methods (if one step doesn't work, try the next):

Give your console a power cycle.

Log out of your profile, log back in.

Remove your profile from the Xbox, and add it back.

Are you, perhaps, on a 14 day trial card?

If so, trial memberships can't benefit the GwG program.

When Xbox games with gold existed u get Xbox 360 games free and Xbox one games free. The Xbox one games u claim for free are only free with a gold subscription when it was gold. Now it's gamepass core. But when Xbox games with gold was a thing the Xbox 360 games u get for free are permanent. But Xbox one games are not. U have to keep ur gamepass core to have access to your free to play Xbox one games with gamepass core that u claimed with gold back then.

No. They are not making Xbox Live Gold free. They are only make games that are "free to play" such as fortnite for example, not require you to have gold to play online.

Other games that are not "free to play" will still require a paid Xbox Live Gold subscription in order to play them online.

There is no date announced yet for when free to play games could be played online without gold.

Xbox One Games with Gold games require that you have a gold subscription in order to continue playing them for free. If you renew your gold, you'll be able to play Forza 6.

The Lego game is not free as part of Games with Gold. It's just free as part of a separate promotion. So that one is free to own whether you continue gold or not.
