    XBox FortNite


    My son is having difficuties loading FortNite. It loads up half way and then the screen turns black and then goes back to the home screen. This has only happened since he downloaded the latest update. How can we get this fixed?

    Fortnite turning the Xbox off

    Hello. Have you tried uninstalling fortnite, hard reset the xbox then install fortnite?

    XBox FortNite

    First, try to hold the power button on the console for about 10 seconds, and then restart the console.

    If the game still fails to load completely, go to My Games and Apps, find the Fortnite tile, and press the menu button on the controller (the small button with three lines to the right of the Xbox button) and manage the game installation

    In the game management screen, delete the LOCAL COPY of the savegame for Fortnite. DO NOT delete the savegame from "all consoles" in the cloud storage!!!

    Then try to start the game again. The console will synchronize the savegame from the cloud. DO NOT ABORT that synchronization.

    If the game still fails to load, go to the game management menu again, and uninstall Fortnite completely.

    Re-Download the game and if necessary let it update again.

    If I uninstall Fortnite as described by Arminator am I going to lose all of the skins I've purchased?

    I've buy a skin in microsoft store and it doesnt show up in mi pc account (its linked with the xbox live account)

    anything for fortnite in the windows store is for the xbox console version only, to sync it with epic would need to log into an xbox and open fortnite.

    anything you want to purchase for fortnite on pc has to be through the epic store or in game as microsoft has nothing to do with fortnite on pc.

    My cousin sent me a fortnite pack using Microsoft store and the money has gone out but I still don't have it

    Are you playing fortnite on Xbox or another device? The fortnite pack from the Microsoft Store is only for the Xbox. You will need an Xbox to claim it.

    Fortnite DLC codes redeemed through Xbox are for Xbox consoles only. You need to load Fortnite on an Xbox console for the content to be redeemed to your Fortnite account. You can do this with a physical console or Xbox Cloud Gaming: Xbox.com/play
