xbox, fortnite and v bucks

Hi

I have a large amount of money gone from bank account, I can see the purchases on my Microsoft purchase history, the x box account is for my son but he swears to me he has not used the v bucks that were purchased, is it possible that some one else has done
this or is he lying to me ??

I bought V-Bucks in Fortnite and it took the money out of my account, but I didn't receive the V-Bucks. Anyone else having a similar issue with Fortnite or buying anything in general?

Thank for bringing this to our attention. It sounds like Epic thinks you are asking them to refund the transaction. I would try contacting them again to explain in greater details exactly what you are requesting of them. Epic should have removed the currency
after it was refunded.

Hard to say with the given info.

Do you have 2-factor auth. active?

If you do, then it's almost impossible that someone else did this.

to be sure please check the activity on your account:
https://account.live.com/Activity

to check from which locations your account was used. If it was used from other locations then your own then it's best to follow these steps:

https://support.xbox.com/my-account/security/compromised-account-solution

If it doesn't show any activity other then your own, then it's likely to assume there wasn't any one else.

There might also be a payment history on the Epic account (which is used/connected to the Xbox Live Account.

I can see loads of unsuccessful sign attempt, some are uk but most are unavailable location, also there no purchase history on the epic games account, I have contacted epic games and asked them for any information regarding the use of v bucks on the account,
am awaiting a response.

 

Also all the login are using internet explorer and I use Microsoft edge, not sure what (2-factor auth) is ??

 

Two step verification requires two forms of identification on sign in instead of just one. This

support page explains how to turn it on/off.

If you feel that the account was accessed by someone other than you or your son you should contact official support an open an unauthorized access case. support.xbox.com/contact-us
