Xbox forced update, now everything throws an error 0x80070102

I'm having the same problem here as well. I initially thought it was an error to do with having an external drive plugged in when booting the console but a further update has made the system even worse. You can't even report the error via the console as
the foreground menu isn't 'active' the cursor still seems to be controlling whatever is in the background.

 

Still no luck today, absolutely nothing is different. Takes forever to actually boot up and it's completely useless when it finally does. Can't connect to the internet via wireless or wired. I hope we get a fix soon or at least some feedback. Til then I'll
be on my ps4.

 

Same issue, console seems to be timing out doing anything. Tried hard reset, wired and wireless connection. Tried to do an offline factory reset, but its not registering the bind and eject buttons being pressed at the same time, they work individually, but
wont make the xbox look for the usb. Tried signing out, after a lot of trial an error i did manage to get signed out, but it just froze up again. Was finally able to get into the setting menu for a few seconds and it does say the last update failed, no idea
why but it did.

 

I experience the same problems with my Xbox One.

Sometimes when I try to get to the Settings my Xbox after loading for some time shuts itself down.

Tried to solve the problem by removing the internet (both wirelessly and cable) connectionconnection but doesn't change anything.

Right now my Xbox is unusable...

EDIT: I am also a Inside member. The problem appeared after the last update.

 

Been having the same issue for days. While messing with it today it suddenly said there was a new update which is downloading now........verification complete.......restart successful and it's applying.....(I know this isn't live for you, but it is for me
so indulge me a bit)........50%........75%.......90%........aaaaand.........holy **** it worked!

 

I am having the same issue and the xbox is useless. I have tried reboot, hardwire and wireless. It worked last night but this afternoon I turned it on and it said it was updating and stopped froze and gave me that error code. When you try to reboot it never
fully loads the home screen and then even goes black sometimes. The controllers are incredibly sluggish and if you even try to go into settings you get nowhere. I am a preview updater and pretty upset right now. I only noticed one reply from Microsoft here.
Anyone know what's going on?

I received an update today that seems to have fixed the issue. I haven't tried rebooting again yet because I want to use my console before I find out its not a permanent fix. I disabled the auto sign in as well just in case that messes with it again. So
if you haven't received an update yet keep checking for one and good luck!

 

I have tried ethernet and it only fixes temporarily. Sometimes the console will begin to work on WiFi again while other times it will revert back to its broken state. Unplugging the console seems to initiate the state more often than not which makes connecting
the console to my preferred TV impossible.

Will this be addressed in a future update?

 

Same issue as of Tuesday. It was working for about one day and then tonight back to broken state.

I've tried everything from hard 10 sec reset too unplugging it. Doesn't help. Takes for ever to boot up and when it does no internet and can't open any apps/menus. That last update has made my Xbox into a paperweight.

 

I am a a preview update member as well and the last 2 updates led my console to "brickdom" as well. The Update before this newest one kept erroring out. E101 error. Had to reset my console back to factory Minus keeping my games and apps. Everything was fine.
This last update, I had to try 3 or 4 times till it finally updated. That's when stuff started to get wonky. Constant buffering on video playback. Would take forever to error out just trying to open the system settings tab. Finally, last night, tired of the
errors and whatnot I decided to do a hard reset. Reboot and nothing but black screen. So I try to reset to factory again. E101 error. Offline update? E101 error. Contacted support. Twice. Nothing doing, I don't think they understand about the preview program.
I explained it several times and they just didn't get it. Tried everything in the support forums. E101 or sometimes E102 error. So my console is a giant brick and MS want me to pay $115 for the mistake THEY made. Sounds like I am not alone on this front. Any
word on what they are going to do about it? Doesn't look like it, but they best hurry up.

 

Where did you read that? Tech support was trying to get me to pay $115 to fix my brick.

 

Have the same problem over here, i managed to sign out of my account by hard resetting my xbox and turning it on then immediately holding down the discover button on both my controller and my xbox and some how it signed me out. But im currently out of town
and dont have internet for my xbox so i cant say how effective it is because i still cant play any games when im not logged into my account because i cant load my saves but overall it is working fine.
