  1. Xbox forced update, now everything throws an error 0x80070102

I'm having the same problems. I plugged in a wired connection and tried to restart my console, and the same thing happens. It always comes up with the same error code, (0x80070102). I am a member of the Xbox One System Update Preview, and I downloaded the
console update on Sunday. I was able to use my Xbox on Monday morning, but in the afternoon, this situation started.

    :)

I do not have an insider hub app. When I started my xbox it said an update was necessary and I wouldn't be able to play online without it.

  5. Having the same/similar issues since last weekend, maybe a day or two earlier. I, too, am an Xbox insider. Here's an example of the difficulty we're having:

    - "Hey Cortana, Xbox On." (We hear power on, see live tv at full screen appear with low volume).

    - "Hey Coertana, Volume Up."

This is where it all falls apart. Cortana mini window pops up, sticks at "Listening..." then gives us an error saying Cortana was taking too long with an error code.

During this time, I tried to go back home but Xbox became unresponsive to the controller. The controller was responsive to when I would hold down the home button (controller vibrated), but the unit was not responsive to the command. Also stopped responding
to all other button combinations. All-in-all, it took approximately 3 minutes for Xbox to catch up and become responsive and, even then, it was laggy as ****.

The unit has become near unusable.

Also received an error (twice) about needing to delete game saves and sync to cloud, other programs taking too long with error codes.

  7. I found my own solution through trial & error and patience. Since I was getting OH SO MUCH HELP from the (ahem) GURUS, I felt the need to keep trying on my own because if a power cycle worked, we wouldnt be here. Amirite?

Anyway, heres what I did and hopefully it helps some poor shmoes out there who find that help from Micro$oft is lacking:

    1. Turn on Xbox & let it finish start up

    2. Go to my apps & games on the right side of menu

    3. Go to apps & load the Avatar app. May or may not load, but this is what enabled me to do the next step.

    4. Press the center X button on the controller & wait. Eventually 1 of two things will happen: The Home menu will pop out after a wait, or youll get an error. If you get an error press the Xbox button again to make the window go away and try step 4 over.

    5. Once the Home menu does FINALLY pop out, IMMEDIATELY go all the way up to your Icon, then to the right & SIGN OUT. MOST IMPORTANT STEP since were getting a sign in error.

    6. Once youre signed out, my console ran smoothly. Go to Settings since you can get into it now. Fix your internet until it says All Good! and everything checks out.

    7. Sign back in.

    8. Let everything finish, then reboot.

This got everything going again for me. Hopefully it helps some others. If it works for you, spread it. Just remember to credit little ol' .

  9. Downloaded the Insider hub and hey what do you know:

I am NOT, nor was I EVER an insider.

  10. Idk man. Id keep messing around until you can sign out. **** have better luck that way. Quicker turnaround too. Itll be weeks before a Micro$oft GURU has a solid answer besides "try turning the console off then back on."

My console has become useless. It takes forever to start up after countless hard resets and fully unplugging it. When I finally get to the home screen there is no notification that I've been signed in and the clock is always reset to 12:03pm. I can use the
controller but as soon as I select any game or app, including settings the console freezes. As stated by others I can hold the middle button til the controller vibrates and brings up the options for turning off the console/controller. I can't select anything
but I can press the middle button again to close this. That's all I can do on my console for now, it can't connect to the internet has become a "brick" as well.

Xbox Insiders have permanent warranty with problem related to updates and bricks like that

I'm having the same problem here. That error code is a sign in problem, and I bet

everyone with this problem has an "auto sign in" thins, where it signs

you in automatically when you power on the system. It's a very weird problem
