Xbox for windows game interruption

I was downloading forza 5 when the Xbox app on my windows computer shut down. When i opened it back, it showed that I had not been downloading anything but it still shows that 67GB of storage is taken up. I cannot find where the game files are located so I can delete them and i cant do it through any app because it shows that the app is not installed.

First, welcome to the Xbox community. Given the problem you are having, I suggest you try the solution below, please.

1. Go into the Microsoft Store and search Forza Horizon 5 Standard Edition.

2. Next you want to click on Forza Horizon 5 Standard Edition and you want to click Install from the Xbox app.

3. This will take you to the Xbox app and when it takes you to the Forza game scroll down and look at the tab named "Included in this bundle" And click Forza Horizon 5.

4. This should take you to the regular Forza Horizon 5 game rather than the Standard Edition, And then you want to click install and this should download the game.

- If that works, the download will probably pick up where it left off.

If you want to remove the files, you will need to access the WindowsApps folder and find the folder named Microsoft.624F8B84B80_3.410.860.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe

The folder name may be different for you, as they are encrypted files, the folder has 101 GB so you will find it arriving at the properties if the name is different.

To access the WindowsApps folder you will need some privileges and they are granted following the instructions in the article below.

Pretty soon people are gonna trash their Xbox ones and go somewhere else. Windows and Xbox one what a platform. A patch here and a service interruption there. What a joke

Hello,

By any chance, did your xbox power off/shut down or have the sync interrupted in anyway the last time that the game synchronized correctly to the xbox?

If for any reason a sync is interrupted, that will cause deletion of the saved data.

Thanks everyone, looks like a corrupt save online - finally managed to glimpse the syncing window and always crashes here. Am trying to interrupt and make new save file but if that fails Xbox Support hopefully can help.
