    HALO: Master Chief Collection (MCC)

    Downloaded MCC. It started up ok. I did a reboot so that other updates could take effect. After the reboot it disappeared.

    XBOX for PC app doesn't show it as installed.

    It was in the Start box, now it is not.

    it is not the xbox version on the pc via windows store, it is the pc version via the windows/xbox app on pc, same as epic etc.

    any games on pc are pc versions not xbox console versions.

    Xbox One games themselves cannot be played on the PC. You can however download PC games that are Xbox Live enabled. Some of these are Xbox Play Anywhere games, and as was stated, there is Xbox Game Pass for PC which lets you play over one hundred PC games.
    These are a mix of PC games & Xbox Live enabled PC games.
