Xbox Fitness: Why is purchased content not downloaded?

I bought the Insanity Full Program the other day. Admittedly I did minimal research on whether it would be truly downloadable, once purchased (shame on me.) I was, never-the-less, disappointed to find out that the purchase only entitled me to access,
and not the ability to download the content.

Why is purchased content not downloadable for Xbox Fitness? 2014 usage showed countless issues with buffering, freezing, and just plain disconnects from the streaming content. Why shouldn't we be able to:

    - Use purchased content offline

    - Not have to use up bandwidth/data to use/reuse purchased content

    - Decouple purchased content from streaming-related issues

    - Guarantee access to purchased content, independent of licensing model changes (say Microsoft changes their minds and makes access to Xbox Fitness itself a paid service at a later date? Am I going to have to pay a monthly fee to access content that I
    already paid for?)

    :)

    Xbox Fitness End of Life?

Im a huge fan and user of the xbox fitness services. It has changed my life. Got me into the best shap I've ever been. Yeah, yeah i know cliché statments, but it's so true. i use the xbox fitness services almost every day and have purchased many work outs.
I agree this is a huge mistake on microsofts part. If they wont support the kinect xbox fitness app/game, they should at least let us veiw the purchased content as videos. Then we can continue to do the workouts we've paid for.

Xbox Fitness: Why is purchased content not downloaded?

At the end of 2015, this is now possible!!! Thank you so much!! I appreciate being able to store purchased XBox Fitness content and keep it locally. I have not yet gotten to test and see if it results in a noticeable improvement in application reliability...
but I don't see how it won't. I believe this is a step in the right direction regardless.

At any rate, thank you so much XBox/Microsoft for making this happen. I truly appreciate it.

Hi I know this is a old thread but I purchased a workout yesterday and downloaded it. I do not have home internet most times so I wanted to download it for my wife so she can use the workout while I am at work. We use my iPhone hotspot for home internet.
So after I purchase it and downloaded it I cannot even open Xbox fitness without having an Internet connection. So I just wasted 13$ I guess. Is there any way to use Xbox fitness without being connected to the Internet the whole time. It really aggravates
me cause then what is the point of allowing me the option to buy and download. They even recommend downloading if you have internet issues!

disconnected for more than a minute it will stop playing and give an error message. Really frustrating.

As we can see now, it's because of licensing. And that's why you won't be able to play it at all after next July.

    swapping consoles

    Hello,

If you've purchased content from Xbox LIVE on your current console then you will need to initiate a
license transfer. Once you've done that and downloaded the licenses on that console you will be able to then play that content
offline without having to connect online (again this only counts if you've purchased content on the LIVE marketplace).

If you've never purchased any sort of content online on LIVE then all you need to do is simply take the old hard drive off of that console and plug it right into the new console.

Remember that an original Xbox 360 hard drive will not fit in a new Xbox 360 S console and vise versa.

Other than that, you should be good to go.
