Since windows 10 patch my voice sound track doesnt work. all the coaches are muted out. tried uninstall and trouble shooting but no luck.

Can not hear the coach's voice in Xbox Fitness

Since the latest console's update, I can no longer hear the coach's voice in xbox fitness. I reinstalled the xbox fitness and calibrated the kinect, but nothing worked. The background music and SFX music is all good, except the coach's voice. So I assume
this is a bug for the system. Please issue a patch to fix this bug. really annoying.

for some reason the sound defaulted to 7.1 instead of stereo audio. So the sound track was channeled out. Changed to stereo and all is good again.

keep in mind that Kinect game development is no longer a thing so to speak.

Developers can make games that use some Kinect "voice" but skeletal tracking from the camera was removed with the windows 10 update this the refunds for certain Kinect fitness purchases.

This tech was not something that will continue so while I too have a Kinect understand that even more of this tech is not compatible with the Xbox one S.

Just think of it as an IR blaster and a camera while streaming or recording game clips.

I have updated Solitaire did not help, same problems with sound. I uninstall and then reinstall the app, same problem with the sound, half of the sound track is still missing. PS. I second what Redmist2005 said! One other thing still haven't seen a
windows 8.1 Moderator?????

Thanks for the welcome. My delightful username was a random one but fits me quite nicely.

I have found a solution to the missing mic. For some reason my laptop had not installed the major November update to Windows 10. I had to ask it to check for updates a few times and then it came back asking me to upgrade to Windows Home 1511. It took a couple
of hours and a few restarts to get everything back to the way it was but when I ran the Xbox app, the mic options had appeared.

tl;dr Make sure you have the November update to Windows 10 installed.
