Xbox Fitness Tai Chi Add On missing from Store

i was excited to find out that there actually was a Tai Chi program for purchase hidden in the add on library for Xbox Fitness.

I tried to load it through the Game under the Library section; but it says Xbox Store temporarily unavailable.

When I go directly to the Xbox Store (which works just fine) the add on is not listed anywhere under Xbox Fitness Add Ons, Games, Add Ons, and under Search Store for Tai Chi.

Did they delete it? Are they changing it to a stand alone game or adding it to Fitness 2015?

  3. Xbox Fitness Retirement Credit

I purchased Extreme Combat, YO:30, and Tai-Chi from NewEgg as digital content on 9/7 and 9/8 and have not received any Xbox Fitness retirement credit on my account. It would be $69.97 of credit total. Thank you for looking into it!

Is it a good programme? Been thinking about getting it, and the price is right.

For me personally it is one of my least favorites. The instructor does a voiceover, sometimes in broken English. I am fine with that, English probably isn't his native language since this program was created for the Chinese market.

The thing that does bug me is the way it tracks your movement. You know how tracking is done in the cooldown/stretching on a lot of other workouts? When it just shows a grey bar instead of a bar that can go from red to green depending on how well you do?
Well, Tai Chi uses this type of stretching tracking throughout the entire program. It just doesn't give you much feedback on how well you are doing. As long as you somewhat mimic the movements you'll get a 5-star session, at some point you can even stand still
and still score. I just miss being challenged.

Although I can understand why they did this. Many of the movement are subtle like shifting weight from one foot to another and are probably hard to pick up by Kinect. What is left is a chill almost meditative Tai Chi session, but without proper tracking
it doesn't add much over getting the same thing on DVD.

That is one opinion of the program. I actually enjoy the Tai Chi program. The person doing it is Chinese and that is one of his videos. He actually does speak like that.

As for the tracking system. Because you'll be moving back and forth a fair bit as well as turning this one would be a hard one to track you with. I believe the tracking system is one of those (it'll track if you're there and breathing things).

However, if you choose to just stand there and get the workout points the only person you're cheating is yourself. If you are interested in learning Tai Chi then I recommend this program. I've enjoyed it immensely since purchasing it.

Yes, I'm sure there are plenty of people who enjoy it. That's why I tried to explain what I don't like about it so people can make their own decision.

Only did the standing still thing once BTW, was curious how much it was really tracking.

Try holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down.
