Xbox Fitness Internet Connection Errors Every Time

I've been using Xbox Fitness since day 1, and it's been mostly great, but I've been noticing ever increasing errors when trying to use it. About 2 minutes into every video, the application gives me an internet connection error. I'm on a static IP with
all Xbox One ports forwarded. Detailed Network Statistics shows 15 Mbps down and 2.5 Mbps up. Call of Duty, Netflix, and the Titanfall Beta run GREAT with no issues. What's wrong with Xbox Fitness?

Xbox Fitness internet connection problems

So lately I've been trying to use xbox fitness and every time I try and use it I get an error message popup that says

"Internet Connection Error

Xbox fitness cannot connect to the Internet at this time.

Please check your internet connection and try again."

Thing is though, I AM connected to the internet and am logged in to xbox live and view friends, send messages, etc. I am very much on line. I have tried resetting the xbox, disconnecting and reconnecting my wireless and resetting my router. Nothing works.
The fitness was working a week ago but past few days every time I try it, I get nothing.

What's going on? Do I need to open some ports or something?

How many times do I have to see that error? I have no idea how long it takes to wait in a day and shit has been like this every week. Is it just my Xbox One, the Internet connection or something else?

 

I have similar issues with Xbox fitness. I basically use the same video, and it always chokes or I get the connection error.

Hey Dev Team: How about caching frequently used videos so there is no need for network connections? Seems crazy to be so network dependent for frequently used items.

 

Same issue here. Most of the days it works, but still get regular 'Internet Connection Error' and 'Insufficient Bandwidth' messages. My internect connection is 100/100mbit and the Xbox is connected to a cable, no WiFi. All ports forwarded, Xbox diagnostics
claims about 80/80mbit with 0 packetloss. No problems with other video streaming services. What gives Microsoft?

Even once per 10 workouts an error like that mid-workout is bad enough to get frustrated with the entire game. I keep on going hoping they'll push out a fix at some point.

I'll be honest though. I Live in the Netherlands where Xbox One isn't released yet. I bought mine from the German Amazon and set my account region to Ireland. Because of that I am not expecting any support, but good to see I am not the only one.

 

I just did 75% of the P90X Plyometric workout and the Insufficient Bandwidth issue appeared. It exited out of Xbox Fitness and asked me to check my connection. Xbox Fitness lost all of my stats for that workout, a good 45 minutes worth of hard work and exercise.
This isn't the first time and it's extremely frustrating. I had just started using Xbox Fitness again and now I remember why I stopped using the game a couple of months ago.

Whoever is in charge of Xbox Fitness needs to clean this app up quickly. Random crashes, lost stamps at the end of workouts, insufficient bandwidth disconnecting the app and losing entire workouts, invalid configuration file, blank screens, not recognizing
exercises, etc. Beta projects have less issues than this.

I've been having the same issue ever since downloading the Update beta. I actually can't boot it up at all. It freezes at load up. It gives the error that the internet connectivity isn't able to launch app and more. This is my wife's favorite app and right
now it is literally unusable. I agree with the above posters. This needs to be fixed asap.

 

Please, please, please add the option to cache workout videos. I'm not looking for an "offline" mode. I'll still happily log into xbox live in order to start the workout, but it is completely unacceptable for whatever reason to have your video buffering
or crashing mid-workout due to a network problem, no matter what the cause.

This is doubly unacceptable when I have paid for the workout video! Please make this your top priority!

 

Yep same thing with me. I get this issue about once every three or four times I get on Xbox fitness. About 10-15 minutes into the workout, the video stops and tells me about my apparent internet connection issues. I can eventually wait it out and get the
workout going for another two minutes but then the same thing happens. When it happens, I cannot get through a workout and all my "digital" progress is wasted, and my physical progress is halted.

Super infuriating issue and I would be very happy to see an official from Microsoft respond at least to acknowledge that all these people do not separately have random connection issues with only one application on the system.

Seriously, can someone from Microsoft either confirm that a fix is in the works or that they will relay the details of the issues that the fine men and women of this thread have reported to the proper channels so this can get fixed?

 

Same as everyone else here. Got a super fast connection that meets all recommendations from Xbox Support (support on Twitter confirmed this) and I'm getting connection errors once every 7 minutes on a good day, two times a minute on bad days. Super infuriating
and DANGEROUS when you're using weights and have to reach for your controller to hit "Retry".

I see NO REASON why we can't download the videos to our system, especially the ones we paid money for.

Even though my internet is fine, if the console THINKS it's bad for whatever reason, how about shifting to a lower res version of the video? Another suggestion; let the videos pre-load before we start (like a youtube video on your computer). Currently Xbox
Fitness doesn't even do ANY buffering.

 

I tend to get 30-40 minutes into my p90x workout when the app just completely crashes due to network errors and I have 60mbps down and 6mbps up. This trend makes me really not want to use the app anymore since it just completely throws away you workout.
they should put in a save feature so you don't lose everything when something goes wrong.

 

i agree. every other game we play saves at certain points throughout the game. if xbox fitness saved your game every 5 minutes or every 5 exercises it would be easier to resume in case of a crash or any other reason you might need to leave your workout.

 

I think the application will prompt this whenever the video buffer is used up. and I do hope the dev will let us choose our desired video stream quality instead of automatically determine a wrong video quality.

 

Today again I am getting tons of lagging and forced pausing. These Internet connection errors are annoying when nothing else seems to be affected but they do seem to coincide with known Xbox Live "limited" service outages. It kind of ticks me off that the
"Xbox Fitness" part of the Xbox Live service notifications shows "Up and Running" because it's really quite limited also during these times. Guess it's just my bad luck to be exercising at approximately the same time every day, and that's when outages seem
to happen?

Unfortunately it seems like at least once a week I can barely get in a couple minutes of work at a time before the connection issues start, and then sometimes the whole session crashes and loses my score. The other suggestions are great. Let us download
the videos locally and then upload the achievements later in case of service failure; most people would only need a handful of videos on the system before swapping one out for another one that they'd grown to like more.
