xbox fitness freezes at start, downloading something

hello,

i have this problem for a very long time. when i start the app it is stuck at the xbox fitness screen and is downloading 200-250mb. after that it starts without a problem. but it will take about 20 min and this is very annoying if you just want to go for a
quick workout.

sometimes it works normally for the next few days, sometimes it happens every day when i use the app. because of the cdn error i re-installed xbox fitness several times and also tried all the trouble-shooting steps (hard reset and so on), but the problem
is still there. it also became more frequent since the last update.

is there anyone else with this problem? are there any solutions?

or if you are having problems starting xbox fitness could you check the network settings if you are xbox is downloading something.

Xbox Fitness freezing every 10 seconds

Same here. I can't use xbox fitness at all because it freezes each and every time.

 

Xbox One Fitness app

My Xbox goes into a continuous loop when attempting to launch a fitness workout. it never starts the workout but instead restarts the fitness app.

Then after turning off my Xbox and turning it back on it froze. I turned it off again and unplugged it and plugged it back in to take it out of the freeze up but the fitness app issue didn't fix.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

 

I used to have this problem about a year ago. Launching Xbox Fitness would take a very long time too. Once it finally started it acted fine and it would go well for a few times and then the long load time returned. During that time I was never able to verify
if it was downloading data, but I figured it must be doing something.

For me the problem eventually disappeared on its own. All I noticed was that using other games in between Xbox Fitness would make it more likely for Xbox Fitness to take a long time loading again. Feels like some kind of cache gets overwritten and Xbox Fitness
downloads it from the cloud. At that time I was using my Xbox One mainly for Xbox Fitness, and I would just start the game before I made my breakfast and come back when it was done. So no useful tips, sorry.

Right now Xbox Fitness take about 60 to 90 seconds to launch for me (bearable). But I know for a lot of people it takes 5 minutes or more. Those times seem to be related to internet speed:

I have no idea what exactly Xbox Fitness downloads on startup, but it seems like bad design to have a game download large amounts of data on each startup and have no visual feedback on what it is doing.

thank you for your answer and the link.. since i posted my question i had no problems so far, coincidence?

i think i have to wait till they somehow, someday fix the whole app, even though it has been out for almost 2 years it is still a hit or miss situation.

in 2 months i will get a better internet connection and this will at least reduce the time i have to wait for the download to finish, when it occurs.
