Xbox Fitness End of Life?

We as customers should not have been ignored by MS as long as we have on this matter. It is not our responsibility to go to websites to "voice" our opinions or forums which are seemingly ignored by actual staff (although phone support said that this was
the venue to mediate a refund).
When we were sold content they advertised as "You can use this app for now or buy it to own forever." directly above the purchase button (my image says "launch" instead of "buy" because I purchased it) there was a purchase agreement made. At the point of
purchase we were told that we had perpetual legal right to possess/access the content we purchased. The very fact that MS thought what they were doing was acceptable has made me reconsider ANY
digital purchase form MS (Xbox or Win10) . It is sickening that no one in the decision making process spoke up for MS' consumers and said "Wait a second, we sold them this content. It is our responsibility to either refund that money or make the content available
outside of streaming through the app." The "talking heads" of Xbox (Hyrb, Spencer and Ybarra) seem to act like it isn't even happening... we who are basically being stolen from and who are upset about it simply do not seem to exist in their world. There have
been a lot of people that have lost a lot of weight through Xbox FItness while gaining a new, healthier lifestyle. I guess MS thought they could use to lose something as well, because they are losing plenty of customers who will never be able to trust MS with
digital purchases again.

 

Really disappointed with this decision. Plus I bought some workouts too. I will be seeking a full refund for them if I won't be able to use them at all after a year. Microsoft need to make it clearer to people who purchased extra content for Xbox Fitness
what they are going to do in terms of compensation because I have seen nothing so far.

This is very bad decision and I cannot understand why are you doing this. If you shut down the Xbox fitness is like you stop supporting Kinect. I know that this is your plan but you have to respect all the users who have decided to buy your product with
the Kinect support. This is really bad strategy and decision in my opinion. At least try another way so we can keep the project. I suggest to try on Kickstarter as they tried on Fable Legends. Seriously please reconsider your decision.

Im a huge fan and user of the xbox fitness services. It has changed my life. Got me into the best shap I've ever been. Yeah, yeah i know cliché statments, but it's so true. i use the xbox fitness services almost every day and have purchased many work outs.
I agree this is a huge mistake on microsofts part. If they wont support the kinect xbox fitness app/game, they should at least let us veiw the purchased content as videos. Then we can continue to do the workouts we've paid for.

I hope that Xbox will still make Kinect workouts outside of Xbox fitness app

 

The content is in this program is worth more that gold. It could really help us make a dent in our childhood obesity issue. A lot of parents I speak to about it just don't know about it. Dads that I tell about it that have kids in youth sports are trilled
to here about all the great content that can help there child be a better athlete from the comfort of their own home. It would be a shame to see this valuable fitness resource be thrown in the trash.

 

I am a retired NFL player that runs a foundation that focuses on fitness. We wanted to make a XBOX fitness a huge part of our initiative. There is NO kid that I introduced this to that wasn't excited about working out with sports stars and celebrity trainers
that train their favorite movie stars and musicians. I hope Microsoft figures out away to keep this going and get it in the homes and community centers around the country that need it.

 

I just recently got an xBox for my birthday last month. One of the main reason, I opted to pick up xBox is because two of my previous fitness trainers recommended it for me to continue with working out. I didn't have access to all the fitness classes I
used to after I relocated from the city. I had my first 2 work out sessions this morning and loved every single moment and challenges. The best part is as a single mom, my kids loves the idea of being able to compete with me and be more active. It saddens
me to read that this will be discontinued as of June 2017. I don't think MS promoted Xbox Fitness enough and should reconsider their stance on this.

 

Please bring back the Xbox Fitness app. that was amazing. Its really the only reason to even have Kinect. I absolutely loved using the app. I was going to purchase the new Xbox One S, looks like now i'll just get PS4 and save money unless Fitness is
back by New Years.

 

My wife and I are currently using EA Sports Active 2 on the Nintendo Wii... an oldie but a goodie! I was looking at upgrading to a more modern console/fitness program (which meant I'd be buying a new Xbox console).

Reading this old thread, it looks like we're stuck with our eight-year-old fitness program/console. It works (even though EA and Nintendo abandoned it years ago as well).

I like Microsoft but 95% of game console use is for fitness in my household - it doesn't look like Microsoft supports a console with "me" in mind.

PS - anyone have an old Wii balance board they don't want anymore?
