Xbox Fitness crashes to home within seconds and is unusable

I've seen other crashing problem threads but they mention crashing mid-workout or with some skylander game USB device plugged in. I don't have Skylanders and I get past the warning but then within seconds it crashes to home. I barely have time to click
on something, but no matter what I click on it crashes to home before anything comes up. If I just sit there without clicking on anything it also crashes to home by itself within a few seconds. When it crashes to home the main box has XBox Fitness blank
green screen it it for the app. I just got my XBox One and this app was one of the big reasons, this is very frustrating!

• The only things plugged in are the power cable, the Kinect, and the HDMI out to my TV
  
• TV is 720p
• Installed apps are only Netflix, Hulu Plus, and the gesture and voice tutorials
  
• Installed games are Marvel Lego Super Heroes and Zumba World Tour
• I have XBox Gold from my old 360 that broke, good until 1/5/2015
• Things I've tried:
  • Resetting (Settings->Power Off, Power Button for 5 seconds (held for another 5 after it turned off), and Power Button 5 seconds and then unplugging for 10 seconds
    
  • Reinstalling XBox fitness
  • Uninstalling, Resetting, then re-installing

Xbox Fitness issues

Fitness is unusable for me since yesterday. After I get to the place where I choose workout it crashes to home in about 5 seconds. When I restart the app, the same thing happens again. Hard reboot and reinstall did not change anything.

Please fix it because I really enjoyed working out with it. I do not care about stamps, I just want to do my insanity

 

Xbox Fitness updated--lost all my progress

with the new update the progress are ok, but now when I open xbox fitness, the app crashes after few seconds and bring me at the home page

we need a new patch immediatly.

 

As above. Come on Microsoft get this sorted out! Can't believe for a pivotal app that we are experiencing these types of issues this far after launch.

 

Ditto, FFS Microsoft, can we at least get an "acknowledged, and working on a fix" please? One day it worked, next day (And every day since) it crashes to home about 10 seconds after hitting the main page.

• Only TV out (HDMI) and Kinect plugged in

  • Uninstalling and re-installing
  • UIninstalling, power-cycle, re-installing
  • Uninstalling, unplug for 15 minutes then re-installing

 

REPOSTING WHAT I HAD IN OTHER THREAD - This needs to get noticed:

Same issues here. Started after an update was required last Friday Marh 28th. My wife tried to start a workout in the morning and it required the update. Ever since that....

(1) Kinect turns cycles ON and OFF every 5-10sec (wierd)......a full reboot tends to fix this

(2) XBOX fitness starts for maybe 10sec then crashes back to main dashboard (still even after uninstalling/reinstalling etc)

(3) XBOX support had finally suggested a full system wipe - reset back to Factory....

(4) I was about to try the system reset, a few days ago, I tried it again first. Strangely, the app actually started to work....videos started etc.

(5) Told my wife this morning that it appears to be working now, she got 10minutes into a workout this morning (Apr 3rd), and it crashed back to dashboard. Shes nearly ready to give up on this APP and go back to buying DVDs instead.

THIS IS RIDICULOUS. MICROSOFT, this was one of the MAJOR REASONS we purchased the XBOX ONE (it was supposed to be more than just a gaming machine)....this should be a major priority to acknowledge the issue first...then give updates on the fix!!

 

Same issues here. Quite frustrating that there isn't any acknowledgement of ongoing issues.

 

I have exactly the same issues as dandiestxboxer!!

I thought they had fixed these cut offs. From the last update. Had to hard reset to get the kinect working again!

 

cloud based gaming at its worse. I do not think most homes are equipped to handle this type of WIFI needs but then again I do no think the router industry and ISP is ready either. I think at peak time in my neighborhood games like this one just will not
work and we pay for upgraded internet as it is.

Exactly the same thing is happening here. When i turn the console off and on again, it takes a little more time to crash. Looks like a memory leak.

I already tried to uninstall, power cycle and reinstall. It still doesnt work.

Any other idea to fix it?

Hey, jacksonkra! This thread is kind of old. If the troubleshooting in here doesn't work for you, please post up a new thread detailing what you're running into you. This is how the forums work the best.
