    Xbox Fitness and Cortana


    Has anyone else noticed that the "Pause" and "Resume" commands really, seriously, do not work with Xbox Fitness? It used to be that you could pause to catch a breath by saying "Xbox Pause" but now that doesn't work nor does "Hey Cortana Pause"... Cortana
    registers me saying it and says I can use "Resume" to resume, but the actual workout doesn't pause...

    2 Cortanas in the same room.

    What will happen if i want to say something to Cortana on my xbox but the Cortana on my windows 10 computer hears me as well? or if i say something to windows 10 Cortana and my xbox Cortana hears. What will happen? will 1 Cortana answer me or will 2 Cortanas
    answer me?

    Xbox One Cortana Says She Didn't Hear Anything, but she heard me say Hey Cortana

    Cortana on Xbox One has stopped working suddenly. I can still wake up the Xbox with Cortana, but once on, every time I say 'Hey Cortana', the Cortana box opens and immediately says "Sorry about that, I didn't hear anything" then closes.

    Anyone know what's going on and how to fix it?

    Is this true death of the Kinect?

    Thats sad but true. I used to love and enjoy Kinect. Sports rival was awesome and Xbox fitness was great. I still use it to play sports rivals, but I never got into cortana voice commands.

    Can you please confirm if you are using "Xbox" or "Hey Cortana" commands for the console?

    If you are using Cortana then the correct phrase to turn the console on is "Hey Cortana Xbox On"

    I went into settings and changed it back to 'xbox' instead of 'hey cortana' as soon as it got changed to cortana. it still works as well as it always did, which was never great. microsoft won't admit to abandoning cortana. but they certainly abandoned
    Kinect. as of September 2018, there is amazon alexa integration with xbox. which should give you an idea how invested microsoft is or isn't in cortana on xbox. I don't have an xbox one S, but I don't even think it has cortana.

    Update: I tried switching to Cortana and saying "Hey Cortana, Xbox On," "Hey Cortana, turn on," and "Hey Cortana, turn the xbox on" several times and none of those commands worked. They used to work perfectly with Cortana on my old Xbox.

    At this point, I think there is either something wrong with my machine or that the Xbox One S does not support "Xbox On" commands. I think maybe the Kinect microphone is not active when the Xbox is off. Perhaps a problem with the implementation of the USB
    port or the Kinect Adaptor.
