That site is a HUGE slap in the face to everyone who frequents these forums. Creating a feedback site when you already have feedback forums means they are going to kill forums.xbox.com I can see it now.

 

they wont kill the forums just the feed back side

 

No sh?t, they just need to read the thread that is a sticky in this forum about things that need to be fixed asap.

Edit: I just looked at the site in 'consoles' and can't help but wonder if some of their topics were based on the above mentioned post

 

@Ghostz them launching a new feedback site points towards the demise of the forums IMO. Whats the point of creating a brand new site when you already have one? I can see the forums veing closed and only the Support section staying open.

 

Yea I'm inclined to agree with your concern, these forums used to be very active which has declined massively. I've had the feeling for quite some time they'd rather let the forum community die off.

To get me to stop coming they'll have to remove the mouse from my cold dead hands... lol

Why? The forums are used for feedback, support, community discussion, and game discussions.

The new feedback site allows people to post feedback or, if it already exists, add their "me too!" to an existing entry. It's intended to provide MS more visibility into how many people want a feature.

 

^^How does it allow for more visibility? Are the feedback forums not visible enough?

 

And it points towards the demise of the forums because they just politely told you, me and every other person, dont go to the xbox.com forums to leave feedback head over to this place that we just created. That site provides nothing that the feedback forums
couldnt. Next thing you know they are going to say, "Oh you wanna talk games? Go to xboxachievements.com or IGN.com"
