    Xbox faulty or television the problem?


    I play call of duty black ops 4 and get frame drops/lag frequently and when a certain scorestreak is called in is when its at its worst. I wanted to play modern warfare(new call of duty) but it lags so bad its unplayable. I have ordered a gaming monitor
    and will be getting rid of my sceptre 4k tv. I want to know if people feel this is my displsy(tv) problem which has been going on for countless months and getting a gaming monitor that supports the 120hz option, has freesync, and 1ms response time will solve
    the issue or if i need to send my xbox in for a repair?

    I really enjoy call of duty but im tired of frames dropping and stuttering lag when i play, any insight on this? I do have the xbox one X.

    I believe it is the game itself. I do have the same problem sometimes. Hopefully they will fix that very soon because it does effect many players.
    Yeah something tells me everyone gets some frame drops when playing call of duty i think i just fixate on it but its not internet lag its the actual game. Modern warfare isn't even playable its like they made the game optimized for just PlayStation or something

    Changing resolution won't help. The Xbox isn't like a PC. Regardless of the display setting the game will render internally at the resolution the game was designed for.

    Is it possible that your console is downloading/updating in the background?

    I found that when there are items in my download queue, and the console starts unpacking completely downloaded games/updates, some games start lagging.

    So check that your download queue is empty or paused when you start playing.
    Yeah i feel its the actual game im not downloading anything nor is there anything in queue

    I also want to note i put xbox in lowest resolution 640x480 and it still had lag issues especially with thredher scotestreak every time it hit ground
