    So my Xbox is out of warranty and my fan overheats when playing 2k/mmorpg games. It sounds like a vaccum in general so is there any cheap way to replace the fan without breaking the console?

    We can't advise you on how to self repair your console. I would suggest calling to see the price of repairs through Microsoft.

    I don't recommend doing this, tell the support and they might help.

    You can pick up a fan for about a fiver, but whether you should open up your xbox or not is a bit taboo. It's probably best to get in touch with customer support via the link already provided.
