Xbox Fan feeling disappointed in xbox one and service received via chat

15 months ago my son purchased an xbox one with his money that he saved. He is a true xbox loyal customer since he currently also owns 2 xbox 360s with kinnects. Shortly after her purchased his xbox one the kinnect stopped working and has now been resolved.
In 2/14/15, his console would not power on. We followed all the support suggestions and unfortunately they did not work so we contacted online chat. After a we clearly communicated the issues we were told we needed a new power cord so, we paid the $35 for
the new power and the additional amount to ship the old one back. On Monday, 3/2/15 we received the new power cord only to learn that the console still would not power on. We contacted support an detailed and were told that the issue was the console not the
power cord like we were told previously. We were disappointed to learn we now needed to pay an additional $115 on top of the $50 we just spent for an unnecessary fix for a 15 month old system. During our chat your site froze so we had to start all over again
to try to explain to another person that it was unfair that we paid for an unnecessary repair due to "inaccurate support from xbox employees". She was unable to help so I asked to speak to a supervisor who was also unable to help. At this point we had been
chatting for over 2 hours and I had to explain our issues 3 separate time. Finally, I asked to speak to someone and was given the phone support team. I then reexplained our situation to Jordan over the phone. He was very understanding of my concerns but
again unable to help. I asked to speak to a supervisor who was able to understand my frustrations with $50 I paid for inaccurate support and he was finally able to help us, after over 3 hours with your support. At this point my sons 15 month xbox one has
been shipped back for the $115 repair. This means he has had problems with both his console and his kinnect. Our concern is we feel we have not been sold a quality product and have suffered the additional time and expenses associated with this. Additionally,
we feel the support provided was well below any service level in 2015. Does xbox have any plans to improve the quality of the products being sold along with the service provided behind them? Sorry for the typos but apparently we are unable to edit posts during

I find it hard to believe that "Sony Trolls" will take the time to make an xbox live account, make an xbox forum account, and then argue on these forums.

I have a feeling it's Xbox fans who are disappointed.

 

Headset/chat question that needs answering

I have a Tritton AX 720 headset that I use for my Xbox One (plugged into the rear optical audio port). However, to receive chat audio that will allow me to talk too, it needs to be plugged into the controller via a cable.

My question is: if I get the Xbox One stereo headset adapter and connect the headset to it, will I still be able to get game audio via the optical cable? Or will it be forced into stereo mode because it's plugged into the adapter?
