    yo i juss bought a new xbox today and when i got home there was a pass code on it and i dont know how to take it off my nan didnt add it no one did in my family when i tryed to play cod it sais pass code is there anyway of getting through pass code

    how do you play off-line?

    You can block access to LIVE from the family settings.

    -

    Guide button, Settings blade and then Family Settings.

    -

    Change the setting to blocked and create the passcode.

    -

    Now every time you start your console, or sign-in you wont be able to access LIVE. Just disable the option in family settings when you want to play on LIVE again.

    Which passcode are you referring to, the Xbox LIVE (personal) passcode, or the Family Settings passcode? For the LIVE passcode, you can try recovering the profile. For the Family passcode, you need to either know the security answer, or call phone support.

    I also wanted to add to Smutches reply that the console you purchased was not new if there was a passcode on it. This means that there would be no warranty for the console so if you purchased it from a store I would recommend returning it for a replacement.
