Xbox family account and game pass sharing

Do you mean game pass? Or you're game sharing with someone in your family? If its game share then try having your family member login with their account on the console and see if it shows up then.

u cant transfer subscriptions, however u could try adding the account with game pass to your microsoft family (family.microsoft.com). that account will then share game pass with u. just log into your game pass account and your main account on ur xbox and u should be able to use game pass

Game Pass can be shared with your family, only on an Xbox console.

Some people have gotten this working by signing into the Microsoft Store with the account which has the subscription and then signing in to the Xbox app with the other account. This will not work for all games, some require the MS Store and Xbox app account to match.

Also, note that Game Pass is only supposed to be shared within the family, and giving account details to friends is against Microsoft's ToS.

Hello Tristan, sorry to hear you're having trouble with Sharing.

I'm afraid the Friends & Family pass only shares access to the Game Pass and its features. If you're looking to share your purchased games then that is only possible via the Home setting on the console. Once an account is set as Home on a console then that accounts purchased games can be shared on that console without issue. Any other console would need to have the account that purchased the games logged in while others play.

Yes, we did not purchase any games and do not plan on sharing any purchased games. We bought the family and friends pass, and we want to play games that are on the Xbox Game Pass but we want to play these games on our separate consoles, using the 5 accounts and 5 separate consoles that we registered on the Xbox Game Pass Friends and Family. Only 2 of us are now able to access game pass on our separate consoles, whereas the other 3 are not able to connect to Xbox Game Pass Friends and Family even though we all subscribed using the link provided by the person who bought the Xbox Game Pass Family and Friends. All of us show up on the Xbox Game Pass Friends and Family but not all of us are able to access its features.

Unfortunately Xbox live discontinued their family membership to pursue game pass, however I do recommend that you have the 2 adult accounts with the Xbox live membership and share with the child accounts via home share feature on consoles
