Xbox fails to connect to internet

Hello all I'm trying to connect to my school internet with my xbox 360 however when running the xbox live test the connection stops on internet and gives me an "internet error" I don't understand why I have the router password and I have tried the reset
default thing also nothing seems to work anyone have any ideas on what to do ? *I cannot reset the school modems because I have no idea where that will be* But all ideas are welcome Really want to play Live!!!

Can't connect to xbox live, even with compatible router!

it fails right when it tries to connect to xbox live.

When I hit test connection, the adapter connects to the router, but doesn't connect to the internet, so it can connect to Live. That's where it fails.

 

Random disconnects

I have just been disconnect from xbox live and I cant reconnect. Test connection, network connected, internet connected. xbox live fails to connect. Done the usual restarted internet and even switched off xbox but still fails to connect. Anyone know if
anything is happening.

You may need to contact your school's IT department to have them add your Xbox 360's MAC address to their white list. In addition to that I would also follow these steps here:

Xbox Live connection error solution.

To check your Xbox 360's MAC address, follow these steps:

• From the Dashboard, select Settings, and then select System.
• Select Network Settings.
• From this menu, select your wireless network.
• Within this menu, select Configure Network and switch to the Additional Settings tab.
  
• From this menu, select Advance Settings and you should see your Xbox 360's MAC address in there!
