Xbox failed to OS update now bricked...

i am constantly getting a system update failure for my xbox . with the following message

You need this update to use your console, but something went wrong, for help visit xbox.com/xbox/update/help

For some reason my console is trying to update with an older version of the OS , i am not sure why this is happeneing. I have removed the console from insiders but i am still facing this issue, i tried to factory reset the console and now when the console
boots up it directly goes for the update and fails.

I have tried the offline system update method using the OSU but get a e101 error. The console is as good as bricked. Any suggestions or tips to fix this please help me.

Iv got the same thing the update has totally bricked my Xbox and now I cant play black ops online heart broken </3

My xbox takes for ever to start now it just gets stuck on the xbox 360 thing. :/ and about 20 minutes later the update comes up and FAILS!

Having the same problem, but can't update offline because I don't have a 4gb usb. Although my update says 386mb and is trying to update from os .3047 to os.3054

I contacted support and they said it was due to the preview program insider hub.

So im trying to unenroll now so i can actually play something.

if that's the case, you may simply delete the inside hub from your console and then try the update

That would be an easy fix but they told me to format my xbox to see if it works and of course it didnt,

Now im stuck at the update failed screen and cant go offline now.

I had the same problem. Its an easy fix. You dont need to call support or ship/return xbox. Click this link:

support.xbox.com/.../offline-system-update-diagnostic-tool

Go down to section about failing to install update. Follow instructions to download tool. Make 100% sure you download right version so that you dont brick your xbox one. Copy on usb install. Works like a champ.

Issue basically is the xbox OS software did not install/image on your xbox corectly. It has an error that stops download from installing. The offline file reinstalls OS and update.

It sounds like your power brick is failing. Do you have access to another power brick so you can test to see if it is in fact your brick failing. Also make sure the brick in completely plugged into your xbox.
