Xbox factory reset failure loop

Ok so it started yesterday when I was trying to set up a new home xbox

with a friend. We had each had one before. We both set our physical

consoles to our own homes again to unshare with our previous people. So

at that count we would have 2 of the 3 allowed per year. We were both

getting the same "something went wrong" error when trying to set each

others box as our home. I called customer support and the rep reset the

counter thinking that was it and ended the call. This did not fix the

issue though. Second call to customer support had me clear xbox 360 data

in the settings and something else that I can't recall exactly. Didn't

work, same error. This rep then told me to perform a factory reset

keeping games and apps. I proceeded to do this and after a long wait of

the process it failed with a "something went wrong" error and an error

code of E102 ... I told the rep there was an error and then the call

ended. Either he hung up or the timing of a call drop was very

continent. He did not call back. After waiting a while and trying on my

own many times to do the update with and without keeping data I was

still stuck in the loop. Same error each time. Also it should be noted

that it locks up when I select an option. I give it a few minutes of

being frozen and have to hard restart by holding the power button.(did

the unplug 30 second thing too in between attempts). Third call got me

transferred to a hardware rep that was helpful this time and instructed

me to do the offline usb reset. I didn't have access to a flash drive

until today though so it was put on hold. I'm now posting because after

following the support steps on the offline reset I'm still stuck with a

new error. It installs fine off the flash drive then proceeds to reset

and starts allying update. This is were the new issue is. I get to 33%

and stop for about 5-10 minutes then surprise surprise "something went

wrong" back to the troubleshoot menu with a new error code of E102

10060C02 80070079. This is getting annoying as it started with a small

home xbox issue and after calling customer support and following their

instructions I basically have a bricked Xbox.

Rule out the connections first, try a different lead

different tv

different power socket

remove any third party devices connected

reboot the x1

Maybe a factory reset ?? if all fails

Xbox One a Factory Reset? Be sure to give the option that removes all content a try and keep us in the loop with how it goes.

 

Just noticed that the above error code was from the second attempt. First code was different: E101 00000503 80070003

my started at 105 when the XBOX start changed to 102 after factory reset

did you got to solve this issue?

Unfortunately if this issue is consistently happening youll need to reach out to MS support to setup a repair ticket.

when trying the "two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart" after using the BIND and EJECT



i don't get the second tone

so i cant update offline

any
