Xbox external SSD suddenly not being recognised?

Hi, I'm just wondering whether someone would be able to help me with this as it's really frustrating.

I bought a brand new SanDisk SSD about a month ago so that Destiny 2 would load up faster and its been great, until today. I unplugged it from the xbox to try my new enclosure and ever since I unplugged it, it has stopped being recognised by my xbox.

I tried plugging it into my Macbook and it says 'this disc is unreadable'.

I also plugged it into my Windows laptop and it isn't recognised at all on there.

Is there anyone out there that can help me please? It would honestly be appreciated so much.

By the way I understand I shouldn't just unplug it, I didn't realize this until after when I read something online about it...

    :)

Playing XB Series Exclusives on External SSD

So no upcoming X/S exclusive games will be able to play off an external SSD? Even an official Xbox external SSD?

    Games uninstalling them self

It sounds like maybe the memory that is holding the games might have an issue or have stopped working. Are you using an external device (external HDD or SSD for example)? If so, check the device. It might have a loose connection and come unplugged, or
it might not be working anymore. This could easily explain why all of your games suddenly are no longer there.

Will the Xbox Series X be able to use my external SSD

This has been covered and been mentioned as it has been a big concern. Right now, yes you can use your external SSD to play Xbox One and Xbox 360 games but you will not be able to play stored SX games on the external SSD. To be able to able to play SX
games they need to installed on the Series X's SSD not the external one.

Why can't you play series x games on ext ssd?

So the external seagate ssd for xbox is usb3.0 with 500mbps read and write speed right? I have two of them and i see alot of people saying "its because the external ssds are too slow to play games on,you can only play series x or enhanced one x games on internal or the seagate expansion ssd card" but alot of external ssds are fast enough? No?
