Xbox External Hard Drive Won't Delete The Game

I was copying a game from an Xbox but had to unplug the hard drive midway to take it somewhere.
Without canceling the copy process, I attempted to download the game onto the hard drive, but from a
different Xbox. I don't recall what happened, but I believe it had said the game was already downloaded. I understood that it was referring to the unfinished copy. However, it hadn't appeared in my game library.
When I would put the [game's] disk in, it would launch a completely different game I had already downloaded. I looked at this game's downloads (the game it would start up / the wrong game), where you'd look for DLC's, and it showed two of the
game, but with one of them taking up a ~60GB, matching the game I was trying to download and had earlier attempted to copy. I deleted it and attempted to download from the disk again. It would show it starting to download,
and within seconds say it's already downloaded on the hard drive. The game would appear in the game library, but it wouldn't start. It'd give me an error message to delete it. I'd delete it, but it'd either repeat what I've underlined^ or just appear
back in my Library the next day, still unplayable.

You can do a system Reset and choose to keep games and apps then re download your profile and then you should be able to uninstall the game. Here is a link for the best ways to do it

Hi Cipher XIII,

Thanks for your post. I understand you are experiencing an issue with uninstalling a game on your external hard drive. Have you attempted to re-format your hard drive? You may want to check your hard drive's manual on the proper steps to format it.

Formatting will completely wipe your hard drive's data, this should correct any issues with installation and uninstallation on your external hard drive.

I moved my games from the internal hard drive to the external hard drive to see if my games won't kick me to the dashboard I tried it yesterday with a external hard drive I had never used for my Xbox. My games were never on the external hard drive they
were in the internal hard drive. Also I downloaded trove and it kicks me to the dashboard as well.

If u have a external hard drive connected you could of downloaded the game twice check your Xbox hard drive and external hard drive then just delete the duplicate I had the same thing happen with my and gta
