    Hey there Baxter!

Sorry to hear that you're dealing with this issue trying to connect to your Wifi.

Now, if this is happening right after you setting up your new router, there's
this little trick that I like to do that resolves a bunch of general problems that you may have concerning your console. When you get a chance to goSettings>Disc & Blu-ray>Blu-ray>Persistent
storage and clear it 3 times. After doing that, go to
    Settings>Network>Network Settings> Advanced Settings> Alternate MAC address
and clear that alternate MAC. The console will say it needs to restart to apply the change, so let it do that and then see if you still have the same problem.

If that doesn't rectify the situation, I would then go to
Settings> Network> Network Settings> Test Multiplayer Connection and see if you get any type of error. If you do, follow the steps on our

    multiplayer solution wizard
    and see if that helps.

The last best thing you can do for most network issues though is port forwarding your router/modem/gateway from your ISP. For steps on how to do that, I would refer
to the page on our site entitled
Network ports used by Xbox Live on Xbox One
    .

When you get a chance, give those steps a shot and let us know how they worked out for you.

    Thanks for reading!

    :)

    Xbox Ethernet connection problems

    Hello

I own a Xbox One S and recently changed wifi. After i changed my wifi i have started to recive problems on my Xbox. I have ethernet wired from my router to my Xbox connecting me to the internet. My internet
DOES work perfectly over wireless. The connection is faulty and changes if it’s working or not a lot. The network setting keeps changing from these options

    —————-

    NAT Type: Unavailable

    All services are available.

    —————-

    NAT Type: Unavailable

    Service Info is Unavailable

    —————-

    NAT Type: Open

    All services are available

    —————-

I know the 3rd option is good.

I went through the whole troubleshooting process and I still have the same result. Here’s the problem, Optus (my service provider) doesn’t support iPv6 and has no plans to change it. It only has iPv4. I don’t know if this is a
huge problem or not. Is this a Xbox problem or a Optus problem and is there anyway to fix this.

    Thanks
Hello, you should configure the NAT on the PC and configuring the systems, of course also to enable the Xbox. You should go to the modem site and enter to configure all the parameters

Check your router if you have DHCP enabled. And if you have a sufficiently large range of IP addresses that are automatically assigned to the connected devices.

    New update bricked my system

Having the same problems. Connecting to Xbox Live after the update freezes the console.

With the hard drive removed but the ethernet connected you can connect to xbox live, with the hard drive and ethernet connected it freezes on start up, and with the hard drive connected but not the ethernet it works fine until you plug in the ethernet and
connect to Xbox Live, at which point it freezes.

I'm glad I haven't lost all my data (I had thought my hard drive was the problem), but I eagerly await a solution from Microsoft.
