Xbox Ethernet Connection Fluctuating

If your Ethernet cable is damaged, your ping time or Latency Will increase or fluctuate etc.. Especially, if you have an A/DSL Connection...

If I may ask, are you connected to the internet wired or wireless?

If wireless, please use an ethernet cable to have a wired connection as it is possible that there could be an issue with the network fluctuation during the synchronization.

I just want to clarify, when you were able to re-install the game, were you able to complete the synchronizing and installing the package parts?

Thanks for coming to the forums. We see you have a question on download speeds. The biggest two factors in download speed are if you are wireless or connected via cable and time of day. Especially now with all at home speeds can change dramatically. With
wireless have noticed myself I rarely get the max download. Try a ethernet connection and even with that it will fluctuate up and down.

You might not be connected to the internet.

Or you internet might be fluctuating between networks.

Router brand & model number: Virgin's own

How many Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles are connected to this router?:Xbox one and 360 (but 360 used rarely)

Wired or Wireless (for each console): wireless controller

Things you have tried: Reebooting console, placing it inside DMZ, Changed DNS last digit from 8 to 4, Port forwarding (didnt work), had a new modem fitted by Virgin the other day (no difference)

Is UPnP Enabled? Yes/No/Unknown: Yes (but i've also tried it off and it made no difference)

Do you have a NAT error? If so, what is your NAT type?: NAT is often open but last night it was closed for some reason. I could connect to games easy though.

Any Error Codes you encounter: No official codes, just lost connection to EA servers

Who is your ISP? (Internet Service Provider): Virgin Media
