xbox enforecment actions and cyber bullying

**my son has been suspended from his

account for the second time this year, he is being cyberbullied by other

players who are actually bullying him at school too they have gone to

his account and reported him for no reason

there is nothing to

suggest he is abusive or harrasing in the messages i know these kids he

has blocked them many times and they keep changing the gamer tag.

seems that all you have to do is report a player for breathing on xbox

live and it gets suspended i have asked for a review and i instantly get

a response back saying decision upheld so there was never any review

it is very frustrating im not getting heard its at the point now he

wants to sell the xbox and go over to playstation they have better

reporting procedures also.

what I suggest since you already filed a review for this case is to

change your son's gamertag. That way, they will no longer know that that

is your son whenever he is playing on Xbox Live.

even talk or chat to enforcement your review and enforcement system is

ridiculous he cant even defend himself as there is no actual review been

done hes the one being cyber bullied and he cant even report the ones

doing it as he is suspended all because they reported him first! how the

**** is that fair? i want the ban lifted or ill be taking this further

Just keep blocking for now. I'm believe that this would be considered cyber bullying so you may be able to take legal action. Though I don't how you do this. Good luck.

There are no free Gamertag changes anymore. You get 1 chance to change it in the first 30 days. Like Ngocphi stated use the tools on your console to report and block these people. Otherwise you will need to pay 9.99 to have it changed.

 

The support forum is unable to offer any kind of assistance with unbanning accounts, as the Enforcement staff do not address concerns here.

If the case review on the
Enforcement website results in "Decision Upheld", then there is nothing more you can do to proceed.

 

i am aware of this, however this is what the live chat has told me to do, go to the forum and someone from xbox will reply or help me, the ridiculous discipline system needs to be reviewed my son has done nothing wrong im only doing what xbox support has

Xbox Support staff over phone/chat aren't trained or authorized to deal with suspension issues, so they often send people here to the forums.

All Enforcement matters are handled directly on the Enforcement website. Since the decision is "upheld", there is nothing else you can do other than sit out the rest of the ban duration, provided that this isn't a permanent ban.

For future reference, ensure your son reports, mutes, and blocks problem players
as soon as they show signs of bullying. Engaging with these kinds of players are often the reason why reports get flung around.

 

i havent had the decision upheld on the latest ban im just doing what i was told to do by the chat so thats obviously a scripted thing they say, im call them again today as i have been advised by a friend of what they have done in the past to lift a ban
and will give that a go, the staff on the enforcement site do nothing i was saying the last one was upheld within a minute of asking for the review there was never a review so me asking for another is moot, thanks for your advice he has also blocked the players
but the kids keep creating new tags/accounts to hide there identity he isnt friends with them there is no signs of bullying on the message cos there are no messages its just a report there is no proof to the enforcement team to show what he is accused of,
thats what im saying, alotof people get reported for no reason one of my husbands friends have been reported cos they didnt accept an invite to play with them, hes an adult and dint want to play with a kid how is that allowed the system is wrong and needs

Phone/chat support are nothing to do with xbox live enforcement.They will not be able to do anything.

Filing for a case review is your only option.

You could have 1000 reports filed against you,you will only get suspended if you have done something to violate the ToU/CoC.

In fact,people who file false reports risk being suspended themselves.

Your son can always set communications to friends only,that way only people on his friends list can communicate with him.

No,it's not true.

Any report filed is investigated by an actual person thoroughly before any enforcement action is issued.

 

If kids at his school have his account and keep on changing the gamertags when your son reports them why don't you change your sons gamertag, problem solved.

No you shouldn't have to change the gamertag but it should sort the issue.
