I really want to know why calling people names gets you banned, but people can hack and cheat at games all they want. I personally don't understand why calling people names would equal a ban, when there is a feature called Block, which makes it so you wont
hear from them again. It also seems to be random, as there are many times I have reported people for a multitude of things and they are fine. I bet you there are a lots of things that Xbox could do to stop bans on such simple things such as swearing, but they
don't do it. So if you need proof of this, here is my story. I was playing Dark Souls 3, and I joined a 1v1 match. The person I went against had a mod where he could hit me no matter where I was. I reported him for hacking and stated what he was doing. I found
him once again and after that, I told him to stop hacking and proceeded with calling him the N-word. Now I am not racist, and I do not have a problem with other races, genders, or anything of the sort. I have a problem with people who like to cheat in a game,
ruining the fun of it for others. So after about 2-3 minutes I got a message stating that I was banned from communications for a day. Now being banned for a day doesn't bother me, it's the fact that people can cheat at almost any game they feel like and get
away with it, but the moment someone retaliates and calls them names for it, all they have to do is report that person. It really is not fair how the enforcement works. I want to state again in case anyone forgot that there is a feature that you can use if
you don't want to hear someone, and it is called the block feature. It is very easy to use, but it is rarely used. Now, if that person is cheating and gets called names for it gets upset, it is their own fault. Cheating is something that ruins the experience
for everyone, and is bound to get hate. The biggest problem of all is the things you can get banned for. Things such as Cheating and Hacking seems to rarely be banned, yet things such as name calling gets you banned instantly, preventing you from hearing or
speaking to friends. When you punish someone for being angry, it is unfair, as it is practically stating that you have to be an emotionless robot who will not care what happens. I really hope that Xbox realizes that banning people for calling someone a name
is entirely unnecessary, and instead should make it so that the person will block them instead. Here is what the rules should be when it comes to suspensions/bans: 1. Cheating/Hacking will get you banned. With the record feature, it is possible to take a recording
of the act of cheating. When reporting Cheating/Hacking, you must put in video evidence of them Cheating/Hacking. 2. Ongoing Harassment will get you banned. To report someone for Ongoing Harassment, Do not delete the conversation and let an Xbox representative
take a look at the messages sent to see if it was indeed Harassment. 3. Sexual Harassment will get you banned. To repot this, follow the same steps as in rule 2. 4. Vulgar Language and profanity will NOT be banned. If you wish to block communications from
this person, please go to their profile, and go down to 'Report or Block', and choose 'Block'. 5. Threats to harm any living creature will get you banned. This can be reported by following the steps in rule 2. If it is a verbal threat, try to get others who
have heard the threat(s), and have an Xbox representative hear what the threats were, along with confirmation from the others.

    :)

You can indeed be banned for cheating and hacking. People have had their consoles locked up by Microsoft for it. However, being a cheater does not give you the right to use a word that is clearly offensive. One that you know enough not to use here and tried
to justify the use of by stating that "Now I am not racist, and I do not have a problem with other races, genders, or anything of the sort. I have a problem with people who like to cheat in a game, ruining the fun of it for others." Clearly, you know
enough that this is a racist word that is associated with hate, and yet you chose to use it to insult a person who was cheating, rather than just call them a cheater. Just because it takes longer to investigate an allegation of cheating than it does to investigate
one of offensive communication (which you've admitted that you are guilty of) does not mean it isn't being investigated or acted upon.

You shouldn't use racist language but I can understand your frustration.

Cheats never get banned on Cod4 and it is annoying that you see the same cheats time after time with no action ever being taken against them. Sooner or later you react to it because Microsoft do nothing about it.

  6. Of course, you could always report COD4 cheaters to Activitision, who publishes the game and maintains it's multiplayer servers. Getting frustrated does not excuse using clearly offensive and hateful words (in this case, the same words you yourself are complaining
about seeing in game in your own thread, Quenxo).

  7. i agree with you mate. It seems that every little message you send to somebody gets you banned but people are trolling griefing and hacking and absolute **** all happens to them. Xbox says their enforcement system is based on fair decisions or whatever,
but all they do is take one report because you said kys or fag to somebody and instant banned, no hearing of the other side of the story, just instant banned

Why do you have to use that kind of language in the first place? When you do use that language, you are violating the Terms of Use/Code of Conduct. That is why you get banned.
