Xbox Enforcement

I was recently given a two week ban that I truly believe is absurd. To figure out exactly why I was banned was for inflammatory homophobic behavior because I said, "Your name is gay." That's obviously a futile and childish insult
and does not even relatively quality for "inflammatory homophobic behavior." If I had received more than 500 characters to defend myself, I would've explained that the only reason I said that is because it is so obviously childish; in a sense, I was criticizing
those who actually use "gay" as an insult. Clearly, the context I used it in was not to insult the player's sexuality, but just a general silly slang term. How it could be interpreted to be hate speech is something I cannot understand. On numerous occasions
I have seen people cheating, glitching, or being unbelievable racist, homophobic, or insulting. It obviously was a mistake to say, "Your name is gay," but to act like Xbox is doing its community a favor by banning a long-time paying customer for using a commonly
used, childish insult and calling it homophobia is absurd. There are truly horrific people in this community that deserve to be banned, and I see them everyday. If the player I said that to was truly offended and not just reporting me because I had just beaten
him in a game (which, being a long-time community member, I can virtually guarantee) then I apologize. It was a stupid thing to say, but I should not be banned for a simple insult and because he misinterpreted a text chat. That is the main problem with messaging
is that tone of voice can say a lot about what something actually means, and it is often misunderstood. I hardly play Xbox anymore, only to make my Xbox friends happy. This ban only give me all the more reason to switch to PC. I have recently purchased one
and can vouch that they are a significant step up. So I truly appreciate this because it has made me realize that I made the right decision to switch in the first place.

One thing that we're maybe forgetting...

Why do you think the xbox one has mandatory checks on games within 24hours and Sony doesn't? It's blatantly obvious Sony won't enforce the same level DRM as the xbox one.

Have you seen the "Enforcement United" programme too? Community moderators, whose reviews presumably carry more weight than your average member.
