    Xbox enforcement while I was asleep?


    I've just woken up (I work night shift) and have an email from Xbox enforcement email from around noon. I've been asleep since 3:30am, and nobody else has access to my account.

    "This account posted an inappropriate comment. This may be due to harassment, profanity, nudity or sexual content, negative speech towards a person or group, references to notorious people or organizations, references to sensitive current or historical events, controversial content, or other inappropriate references."

    I don't comment on anything on Xbox, and have only commented on featured videos maybe twice the whole time I've used Xbox. None of those comments have been negative or even recent; we're talking months ago.

    The enforcement doesn't show what comment was supposedly posted, it's not eligible for appeal, and when I try to click "provide feedback" it takes me back to the enforcement landing page with a banner that says "that shouldn't have happened!" I'm EXTREMELY confused and Microsoft provides no adequate way to receive real support.

    It can take time for the enforcement team to investigate so suspensions are not always issued the same day the action took place. It could be for something that took place days or weeks ago.

    Sorry, but there's nothing we can do for you here. If there's no option for a case review on the enforcement site, all you can do is wait it out. There is no other way to contact the enforcement team.

    I'm just trying to figure out how it's possible to receive enforcement on a feature I genuinely don't use. If I'd done the action or been stupid enough to make inappropriate comments publicly, I wouldn't be here. But I do not use the commenting feature so it's impossible for an inappropriate comment to have been made.

    Again, I don't comment on things on my Xbox, the last time I was moved to comment on a great play was months ago, and the comment wasn't negative. I haven't posted a comment or review about games, either. I don't use the majority of social features on my consoles, as I'm either playing solo or with friends through discord and any crossplay is through an in-game friends system.

    I can handle enforcement for something I did, but I won't take an enforcement for something I didn't do.

    there are possibly hundreds of thousdands of complaint filed each day, and plenty of new accounts created each day.

    they aren't going to be able to keep up with that at anything close to a fast pace. Report people, block communications, and move on.
