Xbox Enforcement Team

I'm not the type of person that believes in unfair, unquestioning, authoritative punishment as the XET does. After receiving the notice below, I decided to study up on the XET to determine exactly who they think they are. From one I've been able to tell,
they are cowards. They leave no contact information to reach them at, and will contact you via email which you cannot rely to. They screw you over depending on however they judge a certain event, and hide behind this opaque wall of "online justice" if anyone
has an issue with it. The fact that I'm writing creating a forum post, my first ever, to get their attention should be statement enough. Now, as for the "hate speech" in question, I am targeted because rather than reporting the various team-killers and trolls
I'm often paired with in games, namely Halo, I choose to message the offender instead, in order to get to the bottom of this. Why are they acting this way, and does the root of such behavior stem beyond that of boredom in a video game? More often than not
actually. The fact that the XET read that message and banned MY communications gives me more than a glimpse into what kind of people are on that team, and the levels of happiness and self acceptance in their own individual lives. But I'll tell ya what, if
the Microsoft team is allowing you push valued customers away, more power to you. I'll be switching over to Sony until you guys: A) Get over yourselves and your convoluted idea of online justice to start reviewing game footage and making some REAL investigations
into these proposed offenses, B) Fix my communications you so unnecessarily tampered with, and C) Inform yourselves on what "Abusive Language" and "Hate Speech" really is, because I doubt you've dealt with such things first hand, you pretentious, wannabe cyber
cops.

One thing that we're maybe forgetting...

Why do you think the xbox one has mandatory checks on games within 24hours and Sony doesn't? It's blatantly obvious Sony won't enforce the same level DRM as the xbox one.

The enforcement team don't use the forums.

You can contact them by filing for a case review on their site
http://enforcement.xbox.com/home

It's entirely up to you what console you play on,no one cares but be aware that the rules are the same on PSN as they are on Xbox live.

5. I agree that they have too much power and they abuse it. I had never been banned until the last 9 months, and I have a good reputation, I believe one ban was for the word "p****" which to my understanding is a word for a cat. Slang is not official language,
nor does it give them the right to take back my digital property. When i purchase an item at a store, they can't take it back if im mean to someone. That's theft.

This one is pretty simple, man.... You have no power here.

By using Xbox Live, you agree to the official Terms of Use, Terms of Service, and all related policy material.

They DO NOT have to answer to you, they DO NOT have to give you specific reasons.

Anything they declare abuse under the guidelines of printed policy is enforceable to whatever degree they determine.

You agreed to the terms when you made you Live account. You must have violated them. It's on you, Not Xbox.

Sorry to be so harsh, but t's true. There's no point for you to whine to them, because it's your own fault.

Copies of TOS, TOU, EULA, and all other policy information are available on this website.

Cheers,

7. Exactly, my friend. I just got off the "chat" with them and posted my experience on another forum:

I had a player named "Oilman..." (I won't post his entire tag) start harassing me after he was embarrassed in a World of Tanks game. He kept sending messages, even looking up my stats and saying how pathetic I was...so I finally just said "f___ off". The
next thing I know, I'm banned!

I have been an Xbox Live account holder for almost 10 years now, never with a problem. I guess people can harass you, but if you say a naughty word then you can get banned. I think this is a backwards system. For 10 years, I've never spammed or harassed anyone,
I have a good reputation, etc. But they are ok with people being spammers or harassing you?

And, ultimately, it's just so silly to think about language like that. If I would have said "funk off" or some other minor variation, that's ok, but because I actually spelled it out, I get banned? I did use the "block" feature, and when he found out he couldn't
keep spamming me, he reported my comment and I got banned. He wins. Seems pretty lame to me.

Anyhow, I told XBox support, who were completely useless and won't let you talk to anyone who reviews the case. I have a PS4, but I've always enjoyed XBox more until now. I think, after this experience, I'll be switching over. 10 years of subscribing, and people
dropping f bombs left and right online, but the second you type it, you're banned, even if it's at someone who is harassing you? Eh.....

Very good point. It's pretty ironic, too, that people use the most offensive language ever when they're online, but apparently if you use any of it in a message, you can get banned. Mine was from telling someone who was harassing me to "F off".

9. Are you an employee? If not, relax man. If you ever become a victim of unfair policy, I hope you follow your own advice. The problem isn't with the "whiners" that you call people who are on here, but with the lack of accountability of the "Enforcement
Team." In any avenue of life, you want accountability from those in power, especially when they are judging or punishing you. In Microsoft's case, their are only untraceable judgements and judges.

Thank you. Just because Xbox is the one that made these stupid rules, and the fact I enjoy Halo (which is only on Xbox), doesn't make it fair. Like I'm really going to sit there reading the terms of agreement and decline to use it after I already bought
the damn machine. It's a joke. That's like suddenly hanging a sign that reads, "We Reserve The Right To Refuse Service To Anyone" in a store that Pete has been going to for years. A new employee starts working at this store, and one day a customer has a disagreement
with Pete. This customer runs off to tell this new employee, who then implements a disciplinary action that makes it so that Pete can only eat seventy five percent of the many bar he paid one hundred percent of the money for.

11. A team of friends that games via consoles online has a solution to communications bans.

1, They never use headsets or any voice/text communications via xbl, they simply use their landline/cell phones instead.

2, They take a page out of MS play book via "no reply." To all PM.

I thought that was genious and wondered why no-one ever thought of it before. I mean if you can trust certain people in your friends list, why not use phones as opposed to xbox?

All I see is the Enforcement penalty information when I check my accounts "Enforcement and Activity History", nothing to click on for a case review

Xbox Enforcement Team

The thing that needs to be kept in mind is that the Xbox Enforcement Team are just human. They make mistakes, they act on ego or emotion, they don't always get it right.

***That being said, we are all responsible for our OWN ACTIONS.

It doesn't matter what somebody else in the community did or did not do, it matters what YOU do. You are solely responsible for anything you do in the community, regardless of whether or not something was done to you first.

If you're being harassed, trolled, threatened, etc. you have to power to screenshot and report. Retaliation or like-behavior will make you subject to penalty and enforcement.

There are channels for review, and I will provide instructions below:
Note: Currently, Xbox device bans are not eligible for Case Review.

How do I submit a Case Review?
Submitting a Case Review is easy, and can be accomplished in several steps:

1. Sign in to enforcement.xbox.com with the account that received the enforcement action and select the large box with an orange hammer icon, or visit your Enforcement
History
.
2. Find the enforcement action that you wish to have reviewed, and select Apply for Review.
3. Read the Case Review Terms of Use and agree by clicking the checkbox and selecting Agree.
4. If you are already eligible for a Case Review, select the green arrow icon. If you are not yet eligible, you will be presented with a short questionnaire. These questions help gauge your understanding of the Code of Conduct and associated
policies. Upon successful completion of the questionnaire, select the green arrow icon.
5. Provide any details (up to 500 characters) regarding the enforcement action that may help XBLPET conduct a more complete investigation. This may include context around the activity or content that received enforcement, information about your game activity,
or any other facts that you believe are worth noting. When complete, select Submit.
After submitting, an Xbox Live Policy & Enforcement agent will begin a thorough review of the enforcement action. This includes reviewing available data and re-examining evidence that contributed to the enforcement, taking into account any new details that
you have provided.
Don't let someone else ruin your standing in the community! Don't let them drag you down because of THEIR poor behavior.

If you legitimately didn't violate CoC, ToU, ToS, etc. then you have a voice! Just use it through the proper channels.

You're always welcome to message me if you need additional help or guidance through the murky waters of Xbox Live Enforcement.

Cheers,

Nigel

Need support asap!

In the past 24 hours I was blocked until 5/30/2017 due to some apparent violation of communication protocol. I started filling out the questionnaire in order to submit a review, however some of the questions were vague and nearly contradictory to what the
answers truly were. This caused me to answer incorrectly too many times and I was than locked out of the review submitting proscess until tomorrow. As a long time paying and loyal customer I would very much appreciate help on the matter to get this resolved.
I have no way to even know exactly what supposed action or communication may have caused this. Please contact me as soon as possible in regards to the matter.

Thank you,

Kevin
You'll have to wait the 24 hours and try again. Support do not handle enforcement issues.

It's spelt "realise" if you are going to try & argue with someone in English at least learn how to spell.,English is my first language because I am English,i was born in England & I live in England so do not try & lecture me in the English language, you will
lose.

Again,if the system was flawed there would be millions of people complaining but there isn't,there's only a few kids who will not admit to their mistakes & blame everyone else but themselves.

I could go on but I doubt it will sink in as you refuse to listen & you don't understand how things work anyway. You could always get an adult to explain things to you in simple terms.

Judging by your comments on here the enforcement team were 100% correct in banning you.

considering most of them are self admitted issues are you sure you want to.go.there ? Most of.them are cheaters or people.who curse and thinkthink are immune to the rules

Which like you isn't the case you do realize that 1% of Xbox LIVE online has issues with the tou

Why don't you be human and join the other 99% it's really not that difficult
LMAO I don't understand any of the above gibberish. If your going to try and argue with me in English, at least use some semblance of the language.
