    You can view your enforcement action at enforcement.xbox.com. The enforcement team would have forced the gamertag change. If you want to change your gamertag you will have to pay for the change.

    GAMERTAG CHANGE

    The Xbox Policy Enforcement Team only issues forced Gamertag changes to Gamertags that violate the ToU and Code of Conduct. When a Forced Gamertag Change is issued, your Gamertag is converted to a randomly generated tag. I'd recommend just gathering up
    the $9.99 and paying for a change, since your Gamertag does not seem to be in violation of the rules, and I do not foresee a Forced Gamertag Change being issued for it.

    Xbox Enforcement Team-Forced Gamertag Change

    Phone and chat support are the only way to contact the billing department who are the only ones who issue refunds. However, gamertag changes are only free if you were given a randomly generated tag when you first create an account and are changing that tag.
    If you were given a forced name change, you do have to pay to change your tag to something you want.

    The gamertag was entitled to a free change in the report.

    I was told to contact the enforcement team, which apparently is only possible through the forums.

    My Gamertag Is the death of me...

    Nobody in the forums are going to be able to force a gamertag change. That is only done from the Xbox Live Policy Enforcement Team. Have a friend file a complaint against you for the gamertag then wait. Its up to the enforcement team if they force the change
    or not.

    The enforcement team will only issue a forced gamertag change if the gamertag violates the code of conduct. There is no way to get a free change.

    You are regarding about the Force Gamertag change. This is not done as optional. This is something from the Xbox Enforcement Team did a while ago, they will force change and make you pick a new GamerTag if your current gamertag is violating the COD, or Terms
    of Use.

    However, that no longer happens. When the Enforcement Team force changes a gamertag they automatically generate one for you and you don't pick anymore. Unfortunately, you will need to pay in order for a change.
