XBOX Enforcement Overturned But No Help from Enforcement Page or Support.

Thursday I got an email stating that my Gamertag was forced change by Xbox Enforcement. I didn't see it till Friday night. Saturday after midnight I put in a Case Review. Sunday I received another email stating the status of the case had changed. Returning
to the enforcement page and the case review. An enforcement agent comment was left sating along the lines that the case is being reviewed and gone over, and that if I wished to provide additional information I could. I did and patiently waited. Today I received
two emails one at 1:41pm and 4:19pm stating:

"This email is to notify you that the status of your enforcement Case Review has changed and requires your attention.

To check the latest status of your Case Review, refer to your Case Review History

Please refer to any comments from the case's enforcement agent for any additional directions and specific details regarding the progression of the case."

After clicking on the link provided for both it led me to the Case Review History. It only showed my original comment for the case review and the Case Status saying Decision Overturned. There is nothing else to click so I can refer to any comments from
the case's enforcement agent for any additional directions. And Going to the Enforcement and Activity History it just says "Congratulations! You have a perfect record, QuietPup4872964." with nothing else to click on.

So I dug around the forum seeing what others were told after the gamertag enforcement being overturned. I only found 1 saying that the agent told em the following.:

"Thanks for getting in touch with us. Upon further review of this case, the Gamertag will be returned to you. This account will be issued one free Gamertag change and the original Gamertag can be reclaimed within 24 hours. Thanks for bringing this to our
attention."

Which if the decision was overturned that should be the case right? So I went to see if that is the case, I can't tell if it's allowing me the free change, but I keep getting the gamertag is taken for my original Gamertag. So I don't know what to do now
since I have no way of contacting enforcement and viewing their comments on the closed case review.

I went to support caht and they just told me they can't do anything at all cause its enforcement related, and that they wont give me my original gamertag even if they see the enforcement was overturned or give me a free gamertag change. They even escalated
me to a manager by the name of (Manager) Fhinlyn Y. was of no help and even tried to sell me on the Bing Rewards Program to earn credits for free rewards. When I asked to be escalated above him so i could get this resolved. He pushed a bunch of what seemed
like auto chat responses to me within like 10 seconds said he didnt want the waste anymore of his time then closed the chat on me.

So can anyone help me please, I heard that Ambassadors can reach out to Xbox Employees with issues like this. Especially if its true that I only have 24hrs to reclaim my original gamertag cause at this point i have less then that.

Rep issues

The clear issue is that the Enforcement page is not accurate regarding your rep.

Your console and Xbox.com profile ARE accurate. If your profile on the console or Xbox.com says your rep needs work or is avoid me then that is true. The Enforcement page can lag behind by 2 or 3 days or more, but it will eventually show what your console
shows.

As others said only you can change your rep. There is no help from Enforcement or Support for this as it isn't an Enforcement action like a suspension and Support doesn't deal with rep or suspensions.

 

You can take longer than the 24 hours to change your tag, but it can take 24 hours for your original tag to be freed up. You would just need to keep trying to claim it at various times until it is actually freed up.

 

Alright thank you for the reply. So am I correct to believe that I do get the free name change since the case was overturned?

Also why couldn't support just tell me these things? I understand they don't have access to the cases or contact with enforcement. But I would think they could at least provide basic information for resolved cases. In case a person like me cant access the
enforcement agents comments and directions. I mean they are support after all.

 

Yes, as stated in the email the enforcement team sent you, you can change it for free.

Support doesn't handle enforcement issues at all. When it comes to anything they don't handle, they don't have correct information.

 

Last question. Is it possible to be reported again for the same gamertag and have to go through this painful process all over again? Or will my account be marked in a way that it wont happen again?

 

It's really hard to say. There's always a chance someone will report you for one reason or another, but it just depends on the enforcement team's investigation as to whether something happens or not.
