  1. Xbox Enforcement changed my gamertag and now it's trying to make me pay for a different one.

So my gamertag has been for the past year and a half. Last night the Xbox Enforcement team changed my gamertag to Something else. They used my ONE free gamertag change. And now Xbox is wants to charge me 9.99 to change it to something else.
They're charging me for something they did. It's basically robbing me. I know I don't have to change my gamertag but I dont want the one the Enforcement team gave me. So basically Xbox stole what was mine, and now they're trying to charge me to get back
what they stole from me. The Enforcement team is basically bullying Xbox players, taking their money. I've never had anyone have a problem with my gamertag. I don't cuss people out or fight. Almost every player I've talked to says "wow i love your gamertag".
It doesn't offend anyone, or a race, religion, or culture. Why let me stay as for a year and then change it. If my gamertag was truly offensive they would've changed it weeks after I made the account. After wrongfully changing my gamertag,
they now want to charge me 9.99 for something they did. I've spoken to 4 Xbox/Microsoft employees and they can't do anything for me but I asked them for a professional opinion about "" and they said "to me no it's not offensive, it's playful".
It's also within the code of conduct. The only thing is comes close to breaking is profanity but the word "Hoe" isn't profane. It's a garden tool. Wether I meant it as that or not, it's still within guidelines.

Anyways, Xbox please reconsider or at least give me back my free gamertag change that you stole from me.

    :)

  2. My gamertag was changed

My gamertag PlungedPlacenta was changed by the Xbox Live Enforcement Team, now you give me a default xbox gamertag and my friend list decide to delete me since they don't know who i am, and now you want me to pay another £6.79 just to change my gamertag
on top of the monthly gold subscription i pay for every month, this is unacceptable

  3. Enforcement team

The enforcement team is a total joke. My gamertag was forcibly changed based on no logical reason that support can provide me with. I went through three support chats, a phone call, a Twitter exchange, and the forum. I have been given different explanations
as to why my gamertag was forcibly changed, including a woman on the phone who acknowledged that the complaint was most-likely not legitimate, and yet Xbox will still not allow me to change my gamertag to one I choose unless I pay their ridiculous $10 fee.

It's borderline extortion is what it is.

you also have people with gamertags like "NaziJews666" all the time but rather than change their tags, they change mine. People also constantly find loopholes by using numbers instead. Why not focus on the actual offensive gamertags and trolls instead

They actually didn't use your free gamertag change. Since you had a gamertag you had chosen and not a randomly generated tag, you would have already used your free change. The gamertag change policy is per the code of conduct you agreed to. It doesn't matter
how long you've had a tag, that just means it took that long for the enforcement team to get a report and investigate it. A tag doesn't necessarily have to be offensive to be changed, it just has to violate the code of conduct. You will have to pay if you
want to change the tag. There is no way around it.

  6. I know what you're saying but I still had to option to change my gamertag because I was going to and changed my mind. But when I got to the confirmation step (when I changed my mind) there was no 9.99 charge. So I know I definitely had one left, because
when I was going to use it, but didn't, it was there for free. If that makes sense lol, it's hard to explain.

    My gametag?

The Enforcement Team do not watch these forums. You won't get a free Gamertag change. If your Gamertag IS reset (unlikely), you will have to pay to change it to a different one.
