Xbox Enforcement Appeal Process

Hello Xbox team,

I am trying to find REAL information towards Xbox enforcement. Please do not send me the link to their site because my question is not there. I was communication banned wrongfully and I got approved for “Review/Reduce” now I have looked up and down through every Reddit post, article, website etc. No one has posted what happens when you get approved for this. My question for the community is this what is the exact process. If you are wrongfully accused say in my case where using the word “sell” in a LFG got me two week ban. I can tell you why because I tried posting “Looking for group to help me with goods sell”. I tried posting and it gave me the let’s clean it up. Next time again tried then banned. Now this is on GTA Online and the word “sell” is used in the sense of selling acquired goods in game. Knowing the situation you can see how others may even misspell a word and get a ban (THAT HAS HAPPENED). Finishing my question is this if my appeal is approved then when will I know the verdict? The decision process should be completed within 48 hours if my research is correct and it is past that. If anyone has any information that doesn’t take me to the three question FAQ page I would be sincerely in your debt. Thank you.

There is no exact timetable for a response. It just depends on how long it takes them to investigate the situation and make a decision.

The enforcement team used the Code of Conduct ( https://enforcement.xbox.com/en-US/home/codeofconduct ) that everyone agreed to when they signed up for xbox live as bases to determine if an enforcement action is needed. The length of time for a suspension
is based on the level for which the code is violate.

You can appeal most bans through a process called a case review ( https://enforcement.xbox.com/en-US/home/howto#sub-topic0-6 ) for which you will find the instruction at the link I just gave you. As part of the case review process you will need to take
a quiz on the code of conduct to test your understanding of it, if you fail the quiz you will have to wait 24 hour before trying again.

To help keep from getting further suspension just remember that xbox live services are considered rate E for Everyone and communications and play should be kept at that level.

If you broke the code of conduct, a ban is the only result that will follow.

The enforcement team isn't on the forums, so they won't help you here.

Xbox Enforcement does not use the forums and the only way is through the enforcement website.

you'll find that PlayStation enforcement doesn't even have an appeal process and that Xbox has some of the most liberal enforcement in the entire industry
