Xbox Email Unlinking

So when I try to remove an email from the Xbox account it brings me to a Microsoft page which is fine but when I made a new email, made it primary and went to delete the other email from the account, it says that it basically will make that email unusable
even though I still want to use it.

Warning: Before removing the address, be completely certain that you don't use it anywhere else. Do you use this address as the contact mail for Facebook, financial institutions, or other accounts? If so, go
to those accounts and change your email address to one you still use.

If you remove this alias, you won't be able to use it to send or receive email through Outlook.com, but your existing mail will remain in your inbox.

You can change the email linked to the account anytime. What are you trying to do overall exactly? Just use the existing email for a new Xbox account ?

Thanks Brad, That answers my question, Thank you. btw they should have better UI to change and remove stuff from the xbox accounts.

I think it is saying it will no longer be usable on Xbox because you will need to use the new primary email.

Hello Shadow,

If you are going to remove any Microsoft email, such as Hotmail, outlook, live it will delete it completely. If you still want to use the email leave it on the account as a secondary email. This will not delete the email and you are still able to use it.
