    I had to create an email account for my son's new XBOX account. I need to log in to link to his EPIC account. It seems impossible now that I have lost the password. I have tried to reset through OUTLOOK and am seeing that I may have to wait 24 hours?! Does anyone have a suggestion for me? Thanks!

    Hello AJTSOA, by your description you created a new Xbox/Microsoft account for your child, but is the password you lost for the account you created or is it for the Epic account you were trying to link?

    Is your child's Epic account new or old, was already linked to another Xbox account, I ask this because Epic does not allow you to unlink an account and then link another account.

    If you can give more details.

    The Microsoft account (email) and the Xbox account are pretty much one in the same as far as Microsoft is concerned. The Xbox account is forever tied to the Microsoft account. This is why the creation of child accounts with their own email address is important. If you want things to be seperate, then one of you will have to start fresh with a new account.

    I don't believe you can assign him as your child account after creation. I believe this has to be done up front or not at all. I would strongly suggest creating a new email address for your son's account (preferably from the same provider as your own) and
    create him a new child account with the proper DOB.
