Xbox Elite Wireless Controller (DEV Team)

This message is to the DEV Team.

I've been keeping tabs on this controller ever since I heard about it. A Microsoft chat rep informed me to speak my concerns here. It was very challenging trying to answer this question. Which is are the paddles able to be used as extra buttons in Windows
10? If so would give the Xbox Controller more buttons and more freedom to play DCS Flaming Cliffs having just enough buttons to take off fight and land. Please don't make another gimmick controller where the sales tactic is rapid fire or one handed play. Give
these buttons a new name C1-4 or Z1-4. Make them programmable just as any other button. Call it the Xbox Elite Pro. This is what this controller should be, simply the best and giving it more buttons would make it just that.

The White Xbox One Wireless Elite Controller will be tested rigorously and will be Available 10/16/2018.

The Elite controller is compatible with the Xbox One play & charge kit and also with rechageable batteries as you can see here (see specifications):

In order to make suggestions for hard and or software please make a post on

At the moment the Xbox One Elite controller can only have buttons mapped which are available already, no macro's etc can be added.

The available remap-able inputs are.

A, B, X, and Y

D-pad up, down, left, and right

Left and right bumpers

Left and right trigger activation

Left and right thumbstick click

I doubt they'll allow macro's to other keys on the Xbox One but maybe for games on Windows 10 it would be possible

Yes and I really think those extra buttons need to have their own assignment so they can be mapped as individual keys in any game.

Thanks for replying! In relation to the Elite controller, it does come with after sales service in that the warranty on the device itself is 1 year and covers the functionality of the controller (responding to buttons, thumbsticks, bumpers,etc). If you've
