Xbox Elite Series 2 PC Connection Issues

I have a substantially similar problem to the one discussed in a
prior thread which was closed by Microsoft due to its age (four months from problem's report in 01/2020 to 05/2020). As that thread's author put it: "once I plug in my controller to charge and unplug it while it's
on will cause the Xbox light to just flash. It never connects to my PC. I have to go into my Bluetooth settings. Forget the device. Than re-pair every time. The same goes for when the device is turned off and wireless. Once I turn it on I have to remove
it from the list of known devices and pair it up again."

Another user elaborated on the issue: "the initial Bluetooth pairing works fine (TP link Bluetooth Dongle). Then plugged the supplied USB-C cable into a USB port on my PC to charge. After disconnecting from the
USB C cable the Xbox light flashes on the controller. Power cycling the controller makes no difference I still have the flashing light. Only by removing the Bluetooth device and re-pairing does it work again."

I have the same problem: I purchased a new controller and connected it to my PC by Bluetooth. It worked fine on both my motherboard Bluetooth antenna and an external USB antenna. I plugged in the controller to use the Xbox Accessories app to remap the controller's
paddles, a key and heavily advertised feature of the controller. After testing the new mapping I unplugged the controller from its USB connection. After being unplugged, my controller would no longer connect with my PC. The light under the Xbox logo flashes
in its "attempting to connect" pattern for 10-20 seconds and then the controller powers off. Both the controller and my PC were restarted after updating drivers and rolling back drivers for my Bluetooth hardware. There does not appear to be a driver or firmware
version for the controller or my PC hardware that will resolve this issue. I was able to reconnect my controller to my PC by making Windows 10 forget the controller as a device and then repairing it. I used the controller in its wireless mode with no problems
for two weeks. I then connected the controller to my PC by the included USB cable, and the problem recurred: the controller would no longer connect to my PC by Bluetooth.

I also experienced a problem removing the device by Bluetooth, as Windows 10 could not "forget" the device, despite repeated attempts and reboots. It told me that the removal "failed." I consulted

this question from 2018 and found a cmd.exe tool that enabled me to use the command line to remove the device, but the inability of Windows 10 to properly manage its Bluetooth network, and the inability of Microsoft and Xbox to make their very expensive
software and hardware talk to each other is deeply troubling.

Please let me know if these issues have been addressed. If there is not a proper resolution to these apparently well-known problems I cannot seriously consider purchase of Microsoft's first-party PC peripherals in the future.
