    XBox Elite Series 2 Not Working right and now out of warranty


    So I pre-ordered my Elite Series 2 controller on Amazon when it was announced and got it last year in November.

    It's since has left thumbstick drift issues and unresponsive face buttons. Very frustrating.

    I've learned these were widespread issues and was hoping Microsoft was going to have a fix or were going to offer replacements since I read they were looking into it.

    I've registered the serial number on my account but it says the controller is out of warranty.

    The only option I have online is to send away for a replacement for $99+.

    I was somehow able to contact overseas Microsoft support call center using the support virtual assistant on their website, but they just told me it's out of warranty, and that I should just buy a new controller out of pocket, since they are only replacing controllers
    in-warranty.

    I've since tried to submit a replacement request with Microsoft support ticket system, even with the controller out-of-warranty, but it got denied because it's out of warranty.

    This controller has widespread issues. I didn't break it myself, and I don't game very much with it.

    This is definitely a manufacturing fault, but I am not sure who to contact to get this controller replaced.

    They must know this controller has these specific issues right?

    Anyone have any additional info on this or where I should go to get this fixed?

    Buy a new Elite Series 2 Controller doesn't make any sense to me, I've only had it since November.

    Hi there.

    The warranty for the Elite Series 2 controller in the US is 90 days from the day of purchase. After this period, the controller is considered out of warranty and is therefore not eligible for a replacement. If you took out extended warranty from the retailer
    then this might be an option for you.

    If not, I suspect $99 for a replacement is still cheaper than buying a new out from Amazon.

    Microsoft knew the controllers were defective and still sold them as a good product. they wont do anything to fix your controller because its most like out of warranty thats why the warranty was so short. The whole elite series 2 was a scam

    Can we get ahold someone who can answer this for certain? I am also having an issue with my right thumbstick and this is a very expensive, and DIFFERENT product from a normal Elite Series 2 controller. If Microsoft/Xbox can't warranty the specific sku, then why is there even a warranty in the box at all? If they were to send a regular Elite Series 2 back after a Halo Infinite version is sent in, then they would be performing a scam--not a warranty service.

    tried to fill out repair order, but, as mentioned above, those are the only options i got.

    Bumper IS a known issue, as you can see.

    Btw., it doenst matter what caused 2 years warranty, it is in place and i'm in the right to use it.
