  1. Xbox Elite Series 2 Cotroller Wireless Connectivity Issues

    Hello,

This is the 2nd Elite 2 controller I've gotten, and both have had the same issue. It seems like a common enough issue, so I'm not sure if I just got 2 duds, but I have tried everything I've read so far to no avail. Basically the issue is when I connect via
Bluetooth, the controller works fine and will stay paired, but after about 2-3 minutes of undisturbed play, my most recent input will be repeated and no other inputs work for 1-3 seconds. (I.e. I'll start moving to the right, not be able to turn at all, and
no other button presses or moving the stick will work at all). In order to fix this, I've made sure to uninstall and reinstall my bluetooth drivers, my controller, set the power setting for my controller to not get turned off, made sure my control is updated
in the Xbox Accessories, made sure windows is updated fully, turned off nvidia in game overlay (and broadcasting), quit out of steam.

I figured it might just be that bluetooth is worse than the wireless mode, so I bought a 3rd party wireless adapter (I was unable to find a 1st party adapter in stock that could ship to me soon enough. I wanted to make sure I tested it before my Amazon return
policy on the controller was up, since I had this issue before). Wireless adapter installed fine, had to update it through Windows update, have since Uninstalled and reinstalled the wireless adapter, as it has worse issues than the bluetooth connection. Prior
to setting it up with the wireless adapter, I made sure to remove the devices bluetooth pairing, and turn bluetooth off. It took a bit to pair with the wireless adapter, but then it only stays paired for 20-30 seconds before disconnecting, blinking at the
same pace as if i had just turned it on, then connecting again.

I'm honestly on my last hope of getting this to work. Since it had the same issues with bluetooth the first time around, i figured it might be something wrong with the controller so I sent it back. I'm still not convinced that it wasn't the controller both
times, as other bluetooth devices I connect (like a keyboard) to the computer work fine without any interruptions, and i have seen many people experiencing similar issues across the internet.

To compound on this, in the meantime I've been using it connected via USB (which I hate that I have to do, when I bought it hoping to have a wireless controller for couch play), and it seems there's an additional issue of the A button not registering all
of my presses. I have to hammer it with my thumb to make sure it works properly, which really sucks.

So I guess my question is, did I just get unlucky with two trash $180 controllers, or is there something else I can do to fix this?

    :)
