Xbox Elite Series 2 Controllers disconnects when R Analog is hardly pressed

just reposting someone elses problem, since it was posted here 1 year ago and thread was locked, even though there was no solution to this problem,

whats going on micxrosoft? i have the exact same issue?

is this a known defect in the product?

Dear All

I just a bought a new XBOX Elite Series 2 Wireless Controller, which overall works fine on my XBOX Series X.

But I noticed a very strange issue where the controller suddenly disconnects and turns off while playing first shooter games, I debugged it more to figure out it is disconnecting when I press on the right analog Jump-stick hard even on the home Screen, and once it's turned off it only turns on if i connect it to a charger, then I can open it again.

Could you please help about this issue? Please note I replaced the controller and I had the exact same issue, which is quite strange.

Is any one had experience with this issue

I have the same problem and it occurs irrespective of what console or PC it is connected to. Pressing the RS hard seems to disconnect the power in the controller and it becomes unresponsive until plugged in with a cable. Even when plugged in you can see the controller switch off then switch back on when pressing RS. It seems like when the pressure on the RS exceeds a certain point it flexes the board inside the controller causing the internal battery to disconnect (only a theory I cannot prove this) or a short circuit of some kind that forces it to shut down.

Same happening here. Just bought a new Elite 2, using it on PC. If I press the right stick down slightly harder than the button click, it'll turn off the controller. Requires connecting to the USB cable to turn on again. Essentially makes this thing unusable. Will try returning it as there are no solutions online.

Hello Ahmed, do you belong to Insider, if yes this can cause certain bugs in the Xbox operating system, if it does not belong to the insider ever tried to sync your controller on another console like a Series S or a normal Xbox One to see if the same thing happens?
