xbox elite series 2 controller wont work on pc.

never had this problem before, but i decided i wanted to play a game on my xbox instead of pc for once, and saw there was a firmware update, so I installed it. i came back to my pc to play a game and my controller wouldnt work. so obviously i removed the controller from my bluetooth devices and re connected it. this time however, instead of it showing up as "xbox elite wireless controller" is just showed up as xbox wireless controller. thought it was weird but didnt think much of it. I clicked on the controller blinked until i hit done on my bluetooth setting. and it now wont work unless i have a wired connection. i looked to see if there was another firmware update on the xbox accessories app, and now it says "unfortunatley this app doesn't currently support your controller's new firmware on PC. We're working on updating the PC experience. Check back soon!" its now been a couple days. and before anyone asks about my bluetooth drivers, yes, they are updated. i have done everything i could think of. if its a usual solution to this problem, ive done it. cod comes out in a couple days and i really need the controller to work.

ps: i bought the wireless adapter to see if it would help but it hasnt gotten here yet.

Microsoft knew the controllers were defective and still sold them as a good product. they wont do anything to fix your controller because its most like out of warranty thats why the warranty was so short. The whole elite series 2 was a scam

So long as its paired correctly through the Xbox Game Streaming App, then yes, the Elite and Elite Series 2 controllers should both work on a mobile device via Bluetooth and wireless pairing on Android.

There was a new update released, can you try updating your Elite Series 2 controller again?

I also have the Elite Series 2 controller and I do not run into these issues when using it with the PC.

1. yes, my windows is up to date.

2. yes, my accessories app is up to date.

3. I connected my controller to my xbox when i went to play on that, but i used my pc to do other things while playing, so it didnt turn off. when i tried to reconnect, thats when the issue began. i have since reset my pc multiple times to try and get it to work.

4. i dont have another pc, so i could not try connecting to another pc.
